INSTRUCTIONS FOR VIEWING THE DASHBOARD

What is a dashboard? This dashboard is a spreadsheet that compiles all the information about grants in Northfield -- past, present, and potentially future. There are multiple tabs along the bottom of the page, where you can scroll and see the grants by category (or click the links below, to be brought to that page):On each page, there are hyperlinks (links to other pages on the internet) where you can find more information. In the first column, the hyperlink will take you to the grant program information. In the third column, the hyperlink will take you to information about Northfield's grant project (when available online). Most grants have restrictions on amounts and funding uses that the municipality has to take into consideration when applying. Thus, it can be difficult to match an existing grant project to a Town's specific need, if certain aspects don't line up. For example, a grant may require a steep match that the Town can't afford. Or the grant requires Chapter 90 funds (funds to repair public streets) that we are not able to commit at the time of the grant. Or the grant has specifications that do not match with our project. More information is provided about such restrictions, when available.

Town Grant Priorities

Possible Grant OpportunitiesGrant priorities are developed collaboratively by soliciting input annually from department heads (ex: highway superintendent; library director; etc.) through a Grant Priority Notification Form. You can view the grant priorities that have already been discussed by heading to the Town Grant Priorities tab.

This spreadsheet is view-only, meaning that you will not be able to make any edits or changes to the information. If you have questions, concerns, or suggestions, please contact Leslie (Grant Development Director) at grantdevelopmentdirector@northfieldma.gov or (413) 498-2901 ext. 111. You can also reach out by clicking on my name on this page of the Northfield Town website, and sending an email.
17
Please note that Leslie started this role in March 2024 and, as a result, this dashboard may not capture information about all the grants that Northfield has had in the past (particularly pre-2022). If you have information about a previous grant, please reach out!

Finally, if you are interested in a particular grant, or have a grant priority, you can let me know by reaching out to me directly (contact information to the left). Feel free to submit a Grant Priority Notification Form, or we can discuss the project in more detail first.
