2	Shawn Eli Armajo	March 23, 2000	WY	There is almost no information online about this death except for an old yahoo group that copies an AP report. It says that Shawn was struck by a Jeep Cherokee from the Wind River Police Department around 7 p.m. Thursday on a dark section of Seventeen Mile Road near Arapaho. The bicycle did not have reflectors or lights, according to the Wyoming Highway Patrol.
3	Randy Lee Linder	October 22, 2001	WY	Two officers were waiting to arrest Linder at the home of his ex-wife on a warrant for domestic battery. Linder attempted to flee, and was tackled by the officers. Linder then allegedly attempted to reach for a concealed handgun, leading an officer to shoot him once in the chest. A county prosecutor cleared the officers of any charges.
4	Michael Roland Owens	November 3, 2001	WY	The police chase of Owens ended in his own garage with officers shooting him 10 times in his pickup. He'd been fighting with his wife at 2 a.m. then ventured out in a "drunken rampage," smashing into a number of cars and buildings.
5	Bruce James Weigel	December 20, 2002	WY	Died of “mechanical asphyxiation” as a result of arresting state trooper putting weight on Weigel's back while handcuffing Weigel on the ground. The state of Wyoming settled a federal lawsuit for $500,000 in the case.
6	Robert Dick	May 13, 2003	WY	Dick survived eight days in the hospital after collapsing while being arrested. He'd been intercepted running into traffic and waving a gun. He also chewed on a police vehicle's tire for awhile. Officers used a body wrap to contain him, and he became unresponsive and stopped breathing.
7	Forrest J. Wolf	October 29, 2003	WY	A half-hour after midnight deputies fatally shot Wolf—who had three times the legal limit of alcohol in his system and who'd was "apparently upset about a failed relationship"—after he'd raised the stock of a weapon at them several times.
8	Justin Adams	October 31, 2003	WY	USAF Sergeant Adams held a knife to his wife's throat during a domestic disturbance call, because she wanted to leave. Deputies repeatedly warned him to drop it. He did not, and was fatally shot.
9	Keven Wade Hanson	January 20, 2004	WY	A trooper pulled Hanson over for suspected drunk driving. Observing an empty holster in the arm, the trooper did not get a straight answer about whether Hanson was armed or not. Hanson emerged from the car, threatened the officer, and was fatally shot.
10	Luiz Vazquez	February 15, 2004	WY	Vazquez had come from Scottsbluff, Nebraska, recently separated from his wife. A deputy answering a domestic disturbance call encountered Vazquez, armed, and the men exchanged fire. The deputy was wounded in the left arm. Vazquez was killed.
11	Luis Vasquez	February 15, 2004	WY	Deputies responding to a domestic disturbance call were confronted with Vasquez, recently estranged from his wife, uncooperative, and armed. Vasquez fired off at least two shots. One of them struck a deputy in the arm. Vasquez was killed by return fire.
12	Paul Reynolds	April 18, 2004	WY	Passenger Reynolds died when the Chevy Blazer he was riding in, driven by a suspect in a high-speed police chase, struck a parked 1983 Cadillac and rolled. Reynolds was ejected and suffered fatal injuries. Another passenger was also seriously wounded.
13	Travis Posselt	May 28, 2004	WY	Travis was involved in a chase on May 28 with the Rock Springs Police Department and the U.S. Department of Justice Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Sweetwater County Prosecuting Attorney Jason Petri officially closed the case, clearing all law enforcement officers involved after ruling Posselt died of an accidental methamphetamine-related overdose.
14	Shawn William Perovich	June 6, 2005	WY	Perovich died instantly when his vehicle crashed during a police crash. The chase had lasted less than a minute, with speeds up to 80 MPH on surface streets. He'd run a red light.
15	Alyssa May Harriet	June 16, 2005	WY	A trooper pulled over Harriet for speeding, who apparently admitted to drinking out of a visible bottle of Seagrams in her car. The traffic stop degenerated into a physical struggle that Harriet was winning, beating the trooper with his own baton, until he drew his service weapon and killed her. Her blood alcohol was three times the legal limit.
16	Joshua Rogers	November 25, 2005	WY	Rogers was behind the wheel of his SUV and engaged in an angry dispute over the custody of his 4-year-old child. A 911 call from the mother claimed he was dangerous and had a knife. Responding officers attempted to force Rogers to leave the drivers seat, without success. Rogers drove off, purportedly posing a fatal threat to officers, and was shot to death. He'd been disarmed.
17	Gary Loyd	May 25, 2006	WY	New Mexican Loyd drove his Jeep down the wrong way on the interstate. By the time troopers caught up to him, he'd crashed into a Mazda, and the Mazda's owner told them Loyd was shooting at him. Loyd was killed by return fire. No trace of drug or alcohol was found in his system.
18	David McDaniel	July 14, 2007	WY	Deputies called to a domestic disturbance call in a mobile home park found McDaniels, armed with a shotgun and recalcitrant. After a brief conversation, he was fatally shot.
19	Kristina Fertig	January 31, 2009	WY	Fertig died as deputies chased her 1980 Toyota down US Hwy 85 at 2 a.m., and she slammed into an 18-wheeler. Some circumstances of the incident suggested she was intent on killing herself.
20	Jeremy Webb	May 3, 2011	WY	Webb was simply a pedestrian in the way when a suspect drew police attention by weaving through city traffic at speeds of up to 90 MPH. After a dramatic chase the suspect crashed into a downtown building, left his car embedded 25 feet into an office building, and was found hiding in the ladies room. Webb was struck and died of his injuries.
21	Jesse Priest Salveson	July 4, 2011	WY	Jesse's wife had called the PD for help when he was threatening suicide. He had been drinking and became depressed and frantic. The police arrived on the scene, barged into the Salveson home, startling Mr. Salveson, creating a hostile environment. Salveson reacted by trying to ward off the officers, cutting one on the forearm. The altercation led to the officer firing off three rounds, two of which hit Salveson in the back. Both officers claimed that both tasers were utilised and failed before the shooting. An investigation was pending, the officer that shot him, Officer Slack of SCPD was put on paid leave.
22	Jerry Jochim	September 9, 2011	WY	On reports of a drunk driver, a county deputy and a parks ranger drove up to the Glendo Reservoir to intercept Jochim, the brother of a local rancher. Jochim refused to exit his vehicle, drove to the ranch with both vehicles in pursuit, then fired on them. He wounded the park ranger slightly. He was shot to death in turn.
23	Jared Joseph Christen	October 11, 2011	WY	Officers responded to Christen's home after a 911 call from his wife claiming that he was throwing furniture and getting violent. The officers arrived to find Christen and his two sons in the basement, and Christen refused to come out. He then began firing on the officers with a rifle, advancing up the stairs and continually firing. An officer fired back, hitting him four times and killing him. A review of the shooting found the officers were "clearly and legally justified," an investigation later found.
24	Nicholas Alan Ungar	February 9, 2012	WY	Ungar, who had earlier smoked methamphetamine and been in an armed struggle with his father, barricaded himself inside a motel room with a female hostage and began firing shots in the air, leading to a standoff with police. After several hours and fruitless negotiations, an officer fired and hit Ungar, who claimed he had multiple weapons and more hostages in the room. A later investigation found that the shooting was justified.
25	Michael Eugene Huff	February 29, 2012	WY	Deputies forced their way into Huff's residence on reports that he was suicidal and had taken a lethal dose of pills. (He had.) Barricaded into a bedroom, flourishing a knife and threatening the officers, Huff was shot dead.
26	Naim Keith Labaki	May 18, 2013	WY	Labaki fired a shot into a sporting goods store. After a pursuit, officers ran him off the road and when he pointed his rifle at officers, they shot him.
27	Edward Lee Farlow	July 13, 2014	WY	An officer responded to a parking complaint from Farlow’s neighbor. Police says Farlow pointed a gun at the officer when he approached Farlow’s home. The officer shot Farlow who died in the hospital later.
28	Justin Phillip Steele	July 29, 2014	WY	Steele was pulled over on reservation land for a weapons offense that occurred elsewhere. Two other people in his car were compliant with the officer's commands, but Steele was not. He was fatally shot by a federal officer of the reservation police, a branch of the BIA. Stelle was not native American.
29	Randall Garfield Williams	September 30, 2014	WY	Officer Benjamin Flake and another officer responded to a domestic violence call from William's son. Williams allegedly met them at the door with a gun and made suicidal statements. He got another gun, pointed both at his head, and allegedly made a remark about shooting the police then pointed a gun at them. Flake shot him twice in the abdomen. He died in the hospital 10/02/14.
30	Kevin Miller	February 26, 2015	WY	Troopers responding to a 911 hang-up call at 3:30 a.m. saw Miller fleeing the scene in his blue Subaru. They identified him as a suspect in a felony domestic abuse matter and gave chase. He slammed into a concrete barrier during the pursuit and sustained fatal injuries.
31	Nikki Jo Burtsfield	May 20, 2015	WY	Near midnight Burtsfield was spotted trespassing in a rural area. Deputies chased her, then stopped her vehicle with deflating spikes. She emerged from her vehicle brandishing a knife. A Taser wasn't effective in stopping the threat deputies felt, so she was shot to death.
32	Christopher Charles Benton	July 12, 2015	WY	Police serving a warrant for controlled substance trafficking and illegal possession of a firearm fatally shot Benton after the 27-year-old acted in a "hostile" fashion to responding officers.
33	Saige Dell Hack	July 16, 2015	WY	Hack apparently barricaded himself with a firearm when officers responded to a call about a domestic disturbance. Authorities said Hack fired from the home at officers.
34	Robbie Lee Edison	July 23, 2015	WY	Authorities said Edison, who was wanted in South Dakota, was fatally shot by a deputy during a confrontation after he was discovered with a stolen vehicle under a bridge on a rural road.
35	John Alan Britton	December 6, 2015	WY	Deputies received a report of a suicidal man and found Britton in his truck in the parking lot of a ski resort. Britton refused to get out of his truck, and deputies placed the ski area on lockdown. Britton eventually got out of his truck. He suddenly charged the deputies with a knife, and they shot and killed him.
36	John Randell Veach	December 30, 2015	WY	Details are being withheld, but it appears someone was suspected of dealing drugs at the Kum & Go. That person apparently had a warrant for his or her arrest, and when Rawlins police tried to arrest him or, they shot and killed him or her.
37	Andrew Dean Howton	February 5, 2016	WY	Howton was wanted on a variety of charges. After a several-hour standoff, police sent a robot in and found him dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot.
38	Jeffrey A. Hyde	June 21, 2016	WY	A Mills police officer shot and killed a man who had been firing a rifle into houses, police said. The gunman fired multiple shots at police, but no officers were hit.
39	Jasen Scott Ramirez	June 30, 2016	WY	According to police, deputy U.S. Marshals were involved in a line-of-duty shooting incident, while attempting to apprehend fugitive Jasen Scott Ramirez, who was wanted on drug charges. During the attempted arrest, Ramirez was shot and killed.
40	Nathan J. "Pieps" Pieper	March 10, 2017	WY	Nathan Pieper died after a vehicle led police on a high-speed chase and crashed in Laramie. The Casper man was a passenger in a vehicle driven by 21-year-old Tyler Lane, who was arrested on suspicion of aggravated vehicular homicide and driving while impaired.

The driver continued into the city and crashed into a pickup at an intersection. The collision killed both people in the car and injured three people in the pickup, including two children. The two people in the car were identified as 39-year-old Douglas Arthur, who was driving, and 34-year-old Lyle Tsinnijinnie.

45	Charles Reno	01/28/2018	WY	After a police chase that included vehicles launching into the air and a crash, the driver of the pursued vehicle, Charles Reno, reportedly shot and killed himself, and his passenger was arrested.
46	Douglas Oneyear	02/25/2018	WY	At 11:36 p.m., police responded to a call from a Loaf ‘N Jug, where the clerk said a man had come into the store wielding a sword and had threatened her and physically assaulted her, police said. About three minutes after the call, police officers confronted a man with a sword and shot and killed him, although what precipitated the killing was withheld by police.
47	Leonard Frederick Wake	03/22/2018	WY	Leonard Frederick Wake barricaded himself into his Glenrock home, prompting a six-hour standoff, police said. Glenrock police responded to Wake’s house just after noon after receiving reports that he was brandishing a weapon. At one point, Wake opened fire on officers as they tried to talk with him. He was found dead later of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot.
48	David P. Wolosin	05/06/2018	WY	David P. Wolosin was allegedly teaching two children to drive in a dirt lot when police tried to stop him. He allegedly fired on them, seriously wounding one, when he was shot and killed.
49	William "T.J." T. Jefferson McCollum	07/10/2018	WY	Officer Craig Burns responded to a Loaf ‘N Jug after an off-duty sheriff’s deputy spotted a car that police said belonged to a man who had threatened people with a gun earlier that morning. Burns encountered William T. McCollum. Police said McCollum threatened the officer, but they withheld details as to why McCollum was shot and killed by Burns.
50	Angel LeeAnn Sunshine Bell	07/14/2018	WY	Aaron Higine, 27, pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide after a police chase that ended with a crash that killed Angel Bell.
51	Robert Michael “Robbie” Ramirez	11/04/2018	WY	A deputy pulled over Robbie Ramirez for a traffic violation about a block from his home, police said. He ran, there was some sort of fight, and the deputy shot and killed Ramirez. Ramirez suffered from mental illness, but reports did not stipulate whether the deputy knew that when Ramirez was pulled over.
52	Jason Whittle	01/10/2019	WY	Riverton police encountered a man who allegedly was illegally in possession of at least one gun. The man, a convicted felon, threatened and shot at police, and they shot and killed him.
53	Christopher Ryan Jacob	05/20/2019	WY	Police officers chased a suspected stolen vehicle. When the Dodge crashed into the median barrier, officers approached the vehicle and found the driver had shot and killed himself.
54	Anderson "Andy" Antelope	09/21/2019	WY	An officer was trying to arrest Andrew Antelope for undisclosed reasons when Antelope allegedly attacked him with a knife. The officer shot and killed Antelope.
