This is one of nine wishlist spreadsheets (two per CoP, two central, and one for OA support) that selectors can use to recommend resources for purchase. The OA publishing support wishlist includes requests for both one-time funds and ongoing (annual) funds. We aim to include information for priority, cost, business model, and rationale. The priority (1-3) is set by members of the Scholcomm Initiatives team. For reference: Investing in open scholarship criteria and worfklow wiki page.

Workflow
4
Add an item to the wishlist whether SCI discusses the investment or you decide on your own.
5
Once a decision is made, move the investment to either the Ordered or Rejected tab in this sheet.
6
If a decision is made to order something, the requestor is responsible for submitting the order.
7
If you added something to the wishlist & it is no longer a priority, move it to the No longer a priority tab to keep as a record.

Definitions

Priority: #1: Highest priority relative to other resources within a subject area: These items will be considered for purchase when funds are available. #2: Medium priority: These items would be nice to have, but are a lower priority than #1. #3: Lowest priority: Not for purchase consideration at this time. These items might be added to the wish list to track them for possible future interest; because an item was requested by a user; items that we have other ways of accessing; or the price/value is not realistic for our budgets.
11
Ongoing vs One-time cost: Choose one of these and put the cost (number value only) in that column. If there's a mix of both, choose one and make a note in the Pricing notes column. US dollars unless otherwise noted.
