How to Use This Matrix
(See all tabs at the bottom)		The English Learner PD requirements can definitely be confusing and challenging to understand. CEA COpilot has created this matrix to help you quickly identify the various courses we offer that satisfy at least one hour for at least one of the ELPD Standard Elements. Before going any further, let us explain how the ELPD Standards work.

In order to receive an ELPD certificate from CEA COpilot, you must complete all 45 hours of ELPD professional learning through COpilot classes and ensure you have at least one hour in each Standard Element. This means you should look through our matrix and identify what classes you need to get both the 45 hours and one hour in each element. You only need 45 hours total, but at least eight of those hours should cover every standard element shown below. In the Course Title column, we have included the number of contact hours each class is worth.

Once you have successfully completed all 45 hours and have at least one hour in each Standard Element, please email ceacopilot@coloradoea.org for the ELPD certificate that will green light you through that part of the license renewal process. Having the certificate means you don't need to fill out the ELPD matrix from CDE.

The second sheet on this document shows courses that are no longer being offered on CEA COpilot. It is a reference tool for educators who potentially took some of those classes and need to check what Standard Elements they fulfilled. The sheet you're currently viewing is our most up to date ELPD course list. Please note that all of the classes listed below may not be available for the current semester.
