This is to cut down on any unnecessary extra expenses like additional transportation in getting around London. 2. Safety. I chose a hotel and not an AirBnb for my own assurance. Even aside from the occasional shadiness of Airbnbs, I’m a small woman travelling alone and I have really limited experience using them — also, to be honest my wife wasn’t comfortable with me staying in an Airbnb alone, and I have to respect her wishes 3. Duration of my stay. I won’t be arriving until the evening on May 9th, so staying for three days gives me that night + two full days to get everything done. I have to grade the remaining zines, carefully package everything up for international shipping (all remaining zines, merch, supplies, etc), purchase the package labels and then drop everything off. I’m hoping this will give me enough time to accomplish all of that by myself. 4. Affordability. I understand all of this is a regrettable zine expense, so while keeping the first two points in mind, I chose the cheapest available room I could find for the duration of my stay (Arriving May 9th, leaving May 12th.) We want to get this done as soon as possible, so I booked the earliest available date I could afford to leave Ottawa.
