AI as a tool for language learning. Students research ways in which AI can be used to facilitate the learning of German and reflect on possible benefits for their own studies of German.
Students work independently, on their own or in small groups.
Demonstration of how AI can be used for learning. Students demonstrate concrete ways of implementing their findings on the possibilities of the usage of AI for learning German and hand in their annotated creations in the form of texts, videos, computer programs, etc.

Students work independently, on their own or in small groups.
Find a song to perform. Students pick a German song to perform and explain content and reasons for their choice. The song choice needs to be accepted by the course instructor. Once the song has been accepted, students collate backgroud information about the original artist(s) and the chosen song, and practice for their own performance.
Students work independently, on their own or in small groups, and also review the work of their peers.
Song performance and peer review. Students make a video, recording themselves introducing and performing the German song of their choice. All student performances are peer reviewed.
