LizBrinkmanliz@lizbrinkmanrd.com602-999-5314PhoenixAZUSARDN (Registered Dietitian Nutritionist)I offer groups online and in person, I work with individuals in person and onlineI work with all agesI’m a Registered Dietitian with an in-person and virtual practice in Phoenix, AZ. I strive to provide weight inclusive care for those with eating disorders and various levels of disordered eating due to dieting. I work to create a safe, judgement free space for you to process and learn how to kindly be with (and in) your body and how to find peace with food. My style is a mixture of body-based practices, emotional coaching, and nutrition therapy to re-learn (or learn for the first time) how to eat with confidence. I value a therapeutic relationship to repair attachment wounds and undo aloneness.
I'm committed to exposing diet culture as a system of oppression and to helping dismantle that system so that everyone—regardless of size, shape, skin color, sexual orientation, or any other identity—can truly be free.

I value building relations over time where the depth of connection unfolds as more safety and trust grows. We can explore together the burdens you carry while we imagine a life you want.
I adjust my style depending on your needs. I can laugh with you and I can curse with you. And I can provide you with a lot of space to contemplate your struggles, discoveries, and hopes. I do not offer quick and easy answers because I believe that if that was the case, you would have figured it out on your own. But I do believe in your own inherent wisdom. JulieChurchjulie@opalfoodandbody.com2069269087SeattleWAUSARDN, CEDRD-SI offer groups online and in person, I work with individuals in person and onlineMy treatment program, Opal: Food+Body Wisdom, is a higher level of care eating disorder treatment center. Myself and my co-founders also do speaking and education to broader audiences.Julie is known for her authenticity, passion and cheerleading, which led her to many small and large passion projects throughout her life. Co-creating Opal is no different—it stemmed from a desire to offer a new way to heal from mainstream diet culture. She always knew that conventional health and consumer diet culture was not helpful and pursued education and experiences in the 90s that introduced her to Intuitive Eating, Non-Diet, and Health at Every Size. Since then, she has put those approaches to work in a private practice setting, at Seattle Pacific University counseling center and in creating Opal: Food+Body Wisdom’s weight-inclusive approach to nutrition and weight as Nutrition Director.
Julie grew up in Wisconsin enjoying youth athletics, gardening, friends and family in a way that only the midwest can bring! She graduated from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelors in Science in Dietetics in 1999 and quickly moved west to Seattle to intern at a church to serve college students. Life in Seattle led to many opportunities: international travel, community service, helping college students gain insight into their food and body issues, and public health work as a dietitian. All of this continually solidified Julie’s “role in the world” was to be a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist ( #DI00001262 ) who helps individuals heal from eating disorders—which years ago Julie feared would mean she would only work with individuals “like her”. But, as her social justice lens has expanded beyond weight-inclusivity, she has begun to see ways to ensure that is not the case and use her power to make necessary systemic changes in the field of eating disorders to have healing for all!
Julie is also currently Community Relations Director for Opal which involves public speaking, social media, The Appetite podcast, website, communication, and relationship building with community members. Julie’s out-going nature and pursuit of authenticity guides this work to ensure Opal only hires, partners and amplifies those who truly align with our values. Julie identifies as a white, cis-gendered female, with european heritage and midwestern roots. As a business owner, she is aware of her power and aims to distribute that power well with her own self-awareness, learning/un-learning and help from her community on her blind-spots. She is a wife to Ryan and mom of three young boys. Julie has professional interest and advanced training in: Attuned/ Intuitive Eating, Diet Recovery/Chronic Dieting, Family Nutrition, Health at Every Size, RO-DBT, Certified Eating Disorder Dietitian-Supervisor through International Association of Eating Disorder Professionals (CEDRD)

Her professional journey began in massage therapy, moved forward into fitness and then into nutrition therapy. NoJanine (she/her) is a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner practicing acupuncture and herbal medicine. Before studying East Asian medicine, she obtained a Bachelor of Science with honours in Food, Nutrition, and Health. Working in healthcare, she knew something was missing from her education, leading her to study intuitive eating and become a Be Body Positive Facilitator. It’s been a long-time goal of Janine’s to create a 2SLGBTQIA+ friendly and weight-neutral healthcare practice. Her main philosophy is searching for the root cause, developing customized treatments, and believing that patients are the experts of their bodies. Janine now integrates her education by offering group and individual sessions grounded in a mind-body-spirit connection to help folks heal their relationship to food, body, and foster community.
