Round Robin or Blue Tit Knitting Pattern
2
3
Use 3.25 or 3.5mm (10 or 9 imperial) needles and double knitting yarn or any yarn and the appropriately sized needles. As you are stuffing this bird it may be better to use a smaller needle than you would normally use. Start with brown yarn for the robin and change to red where indicated. Start with blue yarn for the blue tit and change to yellow where indicated. You will also need a small amount of yarn for the beak and legs (orange or brown for the robin, navy or black for the blue tit)

Making up
69
Sew up the coloured breast of the bird. Stitch the beak in position in line with this seam towards the top of the breast. Add some button eyes or stitch some yarn eyes above the beak at the very top of the breast colour. Using the main body colour stitch up the body adding the legs just below the coloured breast. Continue up the back. Add some toy stuffing. Finish stitching up the back. Thread yarn through cast on stitching pull up and secure. Stitch the wings at either side, to the raised row marking the edge. The top of the wings should be just below the beak - or where looks most appropriate.
