How to use it?

There are two tabs, Itinerary and Example itinerary. Itinerary is the tab you should be working on. I have left the Example itinerary tab, from my East Asia trip to Japan an Korea just as a reference. Hopefully you guys will find it helpful! :)

1. Make a copy (File -> Make a copy)

2. (optional) Rename it to reflect your trip and dates

3. Put your trip budget in PQ2 cell

4. Enter dates in column A

5. Adjust the days of the week and the colors in column B based on your dates (if you don't find this column helpful, you can also just remove it)

6. (optional) Adjust the bolded underline, to highlight when the week ends

7. Enter the country(ies) you are going to in column C

8. Enter the city(ies) you are going to in column D

9. Add your accommodation options in column E (once you book it, you can add the hotel link and color coded based on the payment method)

10. In column F add your estimates how much you want/need to spend on accommodation. This is price per day, per person!

11. Once you book the accommodation, add the final price in column G. This is price per day, per person!

12. Add any activities you want/paln to do during the trip in column H. This can be anything from exploring a neighbourhood, visiting a museum, a city tour, flights, etc.

13. Add estimates for howm uch the activities would cost in column I

14. Add final costs of the booked activities in column J

15. Any other activities/expenses can be tracked in the smaller table, in columns I and J (helpful for tracking expenses such as weekly train tickets)

Column K will calculate the daily estimates, how much you would spend that day.

Column L will calculate how much you spend that day.

Cell P4 tells you how much you have spent.

Cell P6 tells you how much left you have from your budget to spend.

Cell Q4 tells you how much is your estimated expenses.

Cell Q6 tells you how much more from your budget you have estimated to spend.

- If you add any additional rows, to any of the tables, make sure that the formulas are applied to the fields, and they are also calculated in the budgeting table.

- This template doesn't have a separate section for food, because that's one of the things I like to keep spontaneous during traveling.

- All prices in the Example itinerary tab are in Euros and per person.
