Game NameRatingDescriptionTexture HacksScreenshotsRating System
2
Alien Hominid*No 3D2D Game, no 3D.Excellent
Highly Enjoyable, nearly flawless experience
3
Animal CrossingGoodNice immersion, some depth issues in menus, but nothing too distracting.Good
Very enjoyable, but issues can mar the experience
4
Batallion WarsFairEverything 3D works great, but the targeting reticle is 2D.Fair
Debatable, some users may be able to overlook flaws, but they aren't
5
Chibi RoboExcellentLooks absolutely wonderful in 3D. Sense of scale is even better. 30 FPS game, so can be a little iffy in high motion scenes, which are fairly rare though. Not Recommended
Severely problematic or glitched
6
Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of CortexGoodGood Depth; UI pops out of the screen very, very well in this game.No 3D
No 3D effect or very problematic.
7
Crazy TaxiFair
Guidance arrow is waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too close to the screen to the point where you may as well imagine it a separate arrow for each eye. Actual game does look pretty good in 3D, but menus are busted
8
Dave Mirra Pro BMXGoodThere's nothing really wrong with the game in 3D. It just doesn't wow.Extra Notes
9
Dirt 2GoodMenus are bad, but in game looks just fine, way better than the PC port in 3D.I say nearly flawless experience for games like F-Zero GX.
10
Donkey Kong Country ReturnsExcellentNeeds DK's convergence to be set appropriately, at about screen depth. Rest of the world has depth in relation to it. Looks good.http://sta.sh/2ygar7nrtazIt has in-game action perfect but the menus have some depth issues.
11
F-Zero GXExcellentF-Zero GX in 3D. The menus have depth issues, but, the races are flawless. Even the rain/sparks can fly out of the screen at you.
I think how enjoyable the game itself is in 3D should outweight minor issues like that.
12
F-Zero XGoodMenus have some minor depth fighting, the 1st, 2nd, 3rd indicators show up at screen depth, but aren't really distracting as they disappear when you get close.
We need to also think about Texture hacks to remove problem UI elements.
13
Final Fantasy Crystal ChroniclesGoodCan't find any problems with playing it in 3D. It's a 30 fps game, so can feel choppy during high motion scenes.
14
Fire Emblem: Path of RadianceGoodAll of the intermissions and cutscenes are 2D, but the extra depth to the battles and strategy scenes are well worth the wait.Question: Should we even mention 2D games as not recommended?
15
Fortune StreetGoodSome Depth issues on character portraits, but the huuuuuuge depth on stages is awesome once your eyes adjust.
https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/484730/GF7E01.7z
16
Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters MeleeGoodCityscapes look great in 3D, lots of depth on the battlefields.Texture Hacks can be used to remove problematic elements
17
Harvest Moon: Magical MelodyGoodThe Behind Object "Shadow" has negative depth. What do we rate games that require texture hacks to work well?
18
Kirby Air RideGoodCPU/Player indicators and some weapon indicators are at screen level.
If a game requires texture hacks to work well, are we including links to texture fixes?
19
Kirby Return to DreamlandExcellentFurthest Background has a set depth, making it so other objects can seem behind it.
20
Kirby's Epic YarnNo 3DNo 3D effect.
Yeah, I'll provide links for all of the texture hacks, obviously. I mean, Starfox Assault is awesome once you fix it. If you have any texture hacks to fix games, post them as well
21
Lego Star WarsNot RecommendedBreaks the HUD, Odd depth on some objects
22
Luigi's MansionNot RecommendedThanks to someone fixing the Shadows, this game doesn't look well in 3D. The shadows are based off camera position, so you see a different shadow in each eye.http://sta.sh/27o9ud3uowg
One of the Wiki admins disagrees with the use of ratings. I still think ratings can be used to help summarize our experience. Thoughts?
23
Mario Golf: Toadstool TourGoodIf you have a good monitor, it'll look great. Old 3D monitors will show a lot of ghosting with that white ball on soft green backdrops
24
Mario Kart WiiGoodNametags are displayed at screen level, but looks good otherwise. Only problematic for displaying other players names. Maybe a cheat to disable it would make this game highly recommendedhttp://sta.sh/21qw1ytcqwdp
25
Mario Kart: Double Dash!!ExcellentNo issues at all, 60 fps racing game. Menus are mostly flat.http://sta.sh/2dt44zvac39
Nvidia themselves use a similar rating system. Excellent, good, fair, not recommended.
26
Mario Party 4GoodThe boards look great, most minigames work perfectly. Minigames with 2D targeting can become a little cumbersome, though. Overall, fun experiences
If we were to just stick to that + non functioning, it offers some good consistency throughout all 3D vision experiences.
27
Mario Party 5FairThe Intro + Video is in awesome 3D for some reason. Menu Bubbles are really messed up. Boards look very nice, minigames vary.
28
Mario Party 6Fair
That sounds like a very good idea. I was having problems with the questionable. I think they say to use recommended settings to get the appropriate rating, too, so we can base ratings off of texture packs, too, I'd think?
29
Mario Party 7FairWe could add a "No 3D" rating as well for certain games.
30
Mario Party 8FairOver abundance of Pointer Minigames will make it difficult to play in 3D.
31
Mario Power TennisGoodI mean, the 3D isn't broken. I'm not saying it's any more playable than usual though. 3D looks good in the stages you can see.
For hosting texture hacks, I want to recommend Sta.sh. Dropbox has bandwidth limits, and sites like Mediafire will sometimes take files down.
32
Mario Super SluggersGoodStunning Depth when looking over the field. Field indicators/helpers DO have depth, making it easy to line up in the outfield.
Sta.sh is the same host that DeviantArt uses, and I've never seen a file taken down, or bandwidth limited. On top of that, they have great speeds, and will host images without adding any compression.
33
Mario Superstar BaseballFairDepth is very good, but field indicators are at screen level, making fielding difficult and disorienting.
34
MegaMan Network TransmissionGoodLan's house has depth issues with the background. Logging into the net is absolutely stunning. Games multilayered 3D backgrounds create a huge sense of depth in this side scroller.
I feel like we can actually host these on Dolphin's server or something? Or maybe not. I'm just using dropbox for this page, which is for the most part quiet. A permanent solution is needed, I'll check out sta.sh
35
MegaMan X: Command MissionExcellentThe games simple art style translates great into 3D, no real UI/depth problems.
Could you double check ratings of games that you've played, I'm not sure what to do with Kirby Return to Dreamland, for instance. I don't have it, and it seems like it looks amazing in 3D, but I don't know if you just hit the problems
36
Metal Gear Solid: The Twin SnakesGoodSniper Rifle can be difficult to aim, as well as the Nikita, but it doesn't really get in the way. Most guns use 3D sights, which has no issues at all.http://sta.sh/25v7bhb8zz2
37
Metroid PrimeGoodStuff appears too far in the foreground at first, need to adjust that. Games UI appears to have depth, which is very nice. Some things very close to the screen can have depth issues with the HUD.
Yeah, I'll run through and do a more elaborate look over of it. In general, I think the game looks perfect in 3D. The background depth issue only came up with extreme inward convergence
38
Need For Speed: UndergroundExcellentLooks natural in 3D, like it was always meant to be this way.
Feel free to bring up any arguments over ratings. I also know Tri-Def 3D has its own problems... so, these ratings will only be for 3D Vision for now.
39
New Super Mario Bros. WiiNo 3DIt doesn't make the experience worse; the menus look great! In game has no 3D unless you rename dolphin to google earth's exe name. WTF. Looks fine when working.http://sta.sh/21qw1ytcqwdp
40
NHL 2003FairReflections have a very strange ghosting on them. 2D elements over players, including names, have no depth.
41
Paper Mario: The Thousand Year DoorFairMenus can have some depth fighting, but in game looks great. The 2D elements really create an amazing sense of contrast.http://sta.sh/2o1fgxhtyw1
I just ran through the typical problem levels in Kirby's Return to Dreamland. It's still probably the best example of perfectly functioning 3D that I've played thusfar. No problem with water levels, ice levels, or fire levels.
42
Pikmin 1ExcellentThe game's charm is even stronger when you can throw the pikmin jump out at you!
43
Pikmin 2Fair/Good?Health Bar has improper depth, otherwise looks fairly good.
Okay, perhaps it should be excellent then. I'm mostly checking games for overall experience. I played a lot more of F-Zero GX, Wind Waker, etc. than other games, but Super Mario Galaxy 1/2, despite problems, are absolutely stunning.
44
Pokemon Battle RevolutionExcellentSometimes a fake Depth of Field will make backgrounds blurry. Otherwise perfect.
45
Pokemon ColosseumNot RecommendedShadows appear to be broken, making the game disorienting :(
I'm going to play more Punchout!! to see, but from what I've played thus far it's also good in 3D.
46
Pokemon SnapGoodThe reticle is flat, making it dubious at best to play it. Looks as cool as you'd think, though.
47
Pokemon XD: Gale of DarknessGood3D works like a charm. Really puts X/Y to shame at the super high resolutions.
Hey, I added a spot for attaching screenshots, so that we can share how games look. If you all take any other screenshots feel free to attach them as well.
48
Punchout!!Good
Makes great use of depth. The changes in camera angles when you're knocked out, and at the "Fighter Card" screen force you to keep adjusting convergence to stay comfortable. When working right, it looks fantastic.
http://sta.sh/2rr8m8alnrf
49
Resident Evil 4GoodPistols as well as most guns use 3D sights/laser sights, making it possible to aim. Sniper Rifles have depth on the reticles for some reason, which makes lining up shots work.
50
Resident Evil REmakeNot Recommended2D backgrounds will just have the character floating around.http://sta.sh/0208r4nkqmnf
51
Skies of Arcadia LegendsExcellentGame's art design translates well to 3D.
52
Sonic Adventure 2 BattleFair... texture hack?Stages and 3D look great, but UI elements have negative depth, making mech sections very disorienting with all the targeting reticles
53
Sonic ColorsGood30 FPS + Minor Shadow Glitching and rendering errors around Sonic's feet. Some 2D targeting elements are at screen depth.
54
Sonic RidersExcellentAs a racing game with tons of crazy tracks, it looks great in 3D
55
Soul Calibur 2ExcellentSome stuff feels too close at default convergence. Stages and characters look great in 3D.
56
Starfox AdventuresExcellent60 fps Adventure game translates well to 3D. Makes the game even more demanding.
57
Starfox Assault??? Still UnsureGame looks jaw dropping in 3D. Texture Hack can remove the screen depth reticle. Doesn't make the game much more difficult once you get used to it.
58
Super Mario 64 (VC)Good
Problems with the sky. Stars looked fine on the VC version on my setup. They are a little deep, but not really anything that bothered me. Snow actually works in 3D, but has negative depth. Is really cool
http://sta.sh/25ct0y3j88z
59
Super Mario GalaxyGood
Edit: I think we should change this to good. There are serious issues with the heatwave effect as well as the ice effects. Overall the game is very good, but it has enough really obvious issues that it really doesn't fit in as excellent. I've attached screenshots showing off the issues I'm talking about. | The sense of depth and awe on some of the galaxies as you fly around make up for the fact that some HUD elements (Including Wiimote indicator) can have depth issues
http://sta.sh/22a1chhocc1q
60
Super Mario Galaxy 2ExcellentMinor UI problems can't wreck an absolutely stunning experience. Probably has the same reflection issues in certain levels as Galaxy 1.
61
Super Mario StrikersFairNo Depth on the player indicators mars what would be a great experience. A cheat to disable them would fix everything.
62
Super Mario SunshineGoodHeat Effect can make seeing into the distance difficult, but the same is true of that without 3D Vision. Stages look great.
63
Super Monkey BallGoodLooks great in 3D, lense flares have way too much negative depth, making it impossible to focus on them.
64
Super Smash Bros. BrawlExcellentStage backdrops come to life with the 3D depth. Fighters feel like they're a part of the world.
65
Super Smash Bros. MeleeExcellentPlayer indicators have no depth when they pop up, everything else looks wonderful in game.
66
Tales of SymphoniaGoodIs fun to look at the big Vistas in 3D. Damage indicators lack depth, which isn't a huge problem, but can be distracting sometimes.
67
The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
ExcellentIt's Wind Waker in 3D. There were no noticeable graphical bugs when playing through a good portion of the game "testing"
68
The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
GoodLike Wind Waker, most of Twilight Princess translates well to 3D. Clawshot indicator has no depth.
69
The Simpson's Hit and RunFairLooks very strong in 3D, as do other driving games. Unfortunately HUD has too much negative depth, making it nearly impossible to focus on. Maybe possible to fix with convergence
70
Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3GoodThe text having no depth is beneficial for once. Game looks great. Must disable RealXFB for 3D to start working.
71
Viewtiful JoeGoodOnly shows one eye unless you disable RealXFB. Works fine otherwise.
72
Viewtiful Joe 2GoodOnly shows one eye unless you disable RealXFB. Works fine otherwise.
73
Wii SportsNot RecommendedEFB Copy range shows up on one eye and not the other, making it disorienting at best, and nauseating at worst.
74
Worms 3DExcellentEverything has depth and looks good, even the reticles.
75
Xenoblade ChroniclesGoodGame is absolutely stunning. Some issues with high motion scenes in 3D due to be a 30 fps game.
76
Monster Hunter TriFairThe 3D itself looks good, but it has overpowering bloom in 3D, and there seems to be bloom offset present in 3D that renders incorrectly in eyeshttp://sta.sh/026za58wu9rw

Pokemon RumbleGoodFantastic 3D, but it gets sort of wild with the depths. Once you get convergence right it's generally great, when switching Pokemon they pop too far out of the screen, but it's very quick.http://sta.sh/0ke0e0iocvohttp://sta.sh/2c06hdri4ra
90
Kirby 64: The Crystal ShardsNot RecommendedFurthest background is rendered at screen depthhttp://sta.sh/01b3wukbwg9b
91
Yoshi's StoryNot RecommendedThe Title Screen and menu look great in 3D as it is a pop up book, but the game itself has no depth other than the character.http://sta.sh/05p9iwwanwj
92
Star Fox 64GoodThe 3D works well, but the reticule seems to be rendered screen depth. It's not too distracting, but it's not perfect.
