Melanie Hoff is an artist and educator examining the role technology plays in social organization and reinforcing hegemonic structures. Melanie is a co-director of the School for Poetic Computation and is a founding member of the Cybernetics Library and Soft Surplus. They teach at New York University, RISD, the School for Poetic Computation, and have presented their work and creative research in various conferences and universities including the New Museum, the Queens Museum, Tate Exchange, The Internet Archive, Pioneer Works, and elsewhere. Their work has been featured in the New York Times, Huffington Post, Radiolab, Fast Company, Vice Impact, The Discovery Channel, among others.b. 1989 —
