Sustainability and imaginative high-end architecture come together as we tour Holland Partner Group’s newest luxury residential towers, The Grace and The Griffin, in Downtown LA’s Historic Core. This pair of upscale high-rises demonstrate that green architecture, high-design, and a dense urban center can go hand in hand. Led by MVE Architects, the tour will visit the development’s ample green spaces and luxury interiors, as well as showcase its high-strength structural steel and energy efficient glazing.

Attendees will tour the LA Coliseum while its major renovation is underway, with a focus on how the new facility is designed to meet the goal of zero waste. At the Coliseum, attendees will also receive a design presentation for the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art that will highlight both its sustainability features as well as its strong diversity procurement requirements.

To expedite the adoption of higher performance futures, we will examine case studies in sustainable development by asset class: mixed use, hotel, and office.

Tammy Jow, Project Architect for the Wilshire Grand, and Toni Reed of Cushman and Wakefield will reveal how performance design yields performance operations at the Wilshire Grand, which opened in June 2017. In the JW Marriott at LA Live, Brie Welzer of Green Seal will discuss certifying the largest silver-rated hotel in downtown LA. John Adams, Managing Director of Gensler, will discuss innovations like steel shear plates and other sustainable systems in the design. The rooftop on the The Bloc is the first green roof on an office tower in downtown LA. Incentifind Founder Natalie Goodman will share incentives, rebates and tax credits for office greening projects. Jon Spelke of Clean Fund will discuss PACE financing and applicability.
