Class 1EnglishEnglishEnglishEnglishThis chart assumes that the student participates in marching band for all four years in order to fulfill their PE requirements.

In order to fulfill the PE requirement WITHOUT participating in marching band, simply take the two "open" slots found in the Senior year column, full them with PE, and shuffle them into your Freshman and Sophomore years. There are numerous ways in which this can be achieved. To avoid additional years of PE requirements beyond the two years, be sure to pass the Fitnessgram test during Freshman year.

**3rd year of Science fulfills your elective requirement, so does ANY year in VAPA courses beyond the 1st year. The Elective requirement basically takes care of itself for VAPA students with other requirements, and/or enrollment in VAPA courses for 2+ years

***Requirements to graduate from a San Diego Unified School District high school, recommended for admission to UC/CSU universities

Class 1EnglishEnglishEnglishEnglishThis chart includes regular PE taken during the school day. If a student were to eliminate the need for regular PE taken during the school day through participation in marching band for all four years, then that student would INCREASE the number of "open" slots to eight, instead of the six shown here, in which many varieties of classes can be chosen to fill that time. Why not fill it with MUSIC?!?!
