MR42E (3x3:3)4,9dbi - MA-ANT-3-C514dbm18,9dbm-1,1Wait what ? So configuring an antenna with an almost 2dbi higher gain, did not turn down transmit power ? Still below ETSI EIRP Max (Is this because its a more expensive antenna, and it has to "look good" ?)

MR42E (3x3:3)2,9 dbi - MA-ANT-3-D515dbm17,9dbm-2,1So 0,1 dbi down on the antenna (Compared to B5 will turn up the transmit power by 1 whole dbm ... hmmmm )

MR36 (2x2:2)5,4dbi - Internal12dbm17,4dbm-2,6Over 2db worse signal then the Wave 2 APs - Whats going on here ? - If someone claims beamforming .. why are the 2x2 radio chains then not higher then the 4x4 ones - again compared to last gen 3x3 (MR42) that was just spot on. And wave 2 also did beamforming - This is bad)

MR56 (4x4:4)5,4dbi - Internal13dbm18,4dbm-1,6So ... having an AP with the same 5,4dbi gain as MR46 and MR36 turns UP transmit power by 1 ? - Is it because this is a more expensive AP, and it has to "look good" ?

MR46E (4x4:4)3,8dbi - MA-ANT-3-A612dbm15,8dbm-4,2Over 4db lower signal then comparable AP from Cisco and other vendors
19
MR46E (4x4:4)3dbi - MA-ANT-3-B612dbm15dbm-5At 5db lower signal then comparable APs from Cisco and other vendors, we are now moving into teritory where it should be mentioned on the Datasheet that this AP does not do 20dbm EIRP

MR46E (4x4:4)7dbi - MA-ANT-3-E66dbm13dbm-6At 6db lower signal then comparable APs from Cisco and other vendors, we are now moving into teritory where it should be mentioned on the Datasheet that this AP does not do 20dbm EIRP

MR42E versus MR46EAt least there seems to be some strange consistenty between the MR42E and the MR46E in how they turn down transmit power , versus the attached antenna, but all are lets face it, BAD. Very inconsistent , and makes it impossible to count on in a design scenario.

MR30/33/42 versus MR36/44/46/56
The WiFi5 models behave fine (regardless of radio chain configuration) versus the WiFi6 APs that turn down their transmit power by over 2.5dbm regardless of radio chain configuration (Meraki claims its because of beamforming, there is also beamforming in WiFi5, so what gives ? - If I was a conspirational person, this smells a lot like someone wants to sell more APs)
