Q.Why can't I select my booth location right now (before March 1st)?
2
A.I want to give that one week lead-time to address any questions or concerns before going live - as well to give organizations with boards or a longer decision making process time and still be fair to them. I will send out a reminder notice when the page goes live, and it will be first-come, first-picked.

Q.My group does multiple things, can I have multiple booths?
5
A.As we start, with the exception of larger sporting associations with box-slots (utilizing what would otherwise be unused space), let's limit the booths to 1-per-organization. Each booth is about 10'x10', which is a LOT of space for most groups. Chances are you won't need (or even want) a second slot - but if you do, and there is room a day or two before the event, we can look at double-spacing
6
7
Q.Why did ______ get placed in advance?
8
A.Placing some groups in advance, whether larger groups in order to more effectively use what would be inaccessable zones, or "clusters" of organizations (such as the City or College) helps volunteers who may be working multiple booths, and it helps better arrange the public tables.

10
Q.Why does Water Polo get the same spot every event?
11
A.Since I wear both hats as Water Polo director, and Active! organizer, it makes sense for the Active! booth to be placed closest to the parking lot doors where the majority of groups will come in to set up. That way, maps, questions and fees can all be taken care of conveniently. Also since I have to set up early, it's an out-of-the-way spot if there was an event the night before involving a banquet (therefore tables & chairs on the main floor) and/or the stage.

13
Q.What do I have to bring?
14
A.Bring everything you want for YOUR booth (tables, chairs, power cords, etc). MHE&S will be providing tables & chairs ONLY for the Public areas
15
16
Q.Can we handout ________ to ________?
17
A.You can do whatever you wish to do, for whatever purpose you wish to do it - as long as it doesn't interfere with the operations of other booths around you.
NOTE: Fundraising can only be done by the registered group, to benefit the registered group. There must be signage indicating what the proceeds are going towards.

19
Q.I want to sell _________.
20
A.The arrangement Active! has with the MHE&S is that there will be no commercial ventures as part of the Active! event, unless their primary service is in-line with the Active! philosophy. These standards have been discussed with the MHE&S and if there are any questions, please address them in advance.
Examples of acceptable selling items would include:
- Shirts, pins, etc. with the name of the organization and/or promoting the sport/art/organization as a whole
- Fundraising items specifically to benefit that group (with applicable signage indicating that)
- Equipment used for that program
UNacceptable items would include:
- Goods or services not directly related to the group selling them
- Visible advertizing for a commercial business (verbal is ok when specifically requested - such as "Where can I get _____?")

Violations of this could get Active! reclassified from an Event, to a Tradeshow, at a significant financial increase - so I would rather be overly careful than slightly careless!
