Alexander Elementary: Title I Plan (2025-2026)

Provide the following positions: Teachers to reduce classroom sizes in grade 2, 4, and 5 (Substitute costs from Title I-funded reduce classroom size teachers), math/reading intervention teacher, instructional assistant, Parent Involvement Coordinator, and Behavior Interventionist.

Provide additional academic assistance in Extended Day (Before or After School) tutorial program using software programs (such as Amira and Dreambox), small group instruction, and test taking strategies instruction. Participating students will be identified through SC Ready, benchmarks, ACCESS scores, classroom performance, Amira data, Lexia and Mastery Connect assessments.

Provide kindergarten summer camp sessions in July 2025 for students beginning K5 in 2025-2026.

Integrate technology to increase student engagement and achievement with the purchasing of software licenses to include, but not limited to: Reflex/Frax to support math fact fluency and Seesaw to support overall student achievement.

Integrate technology into classroom instruction with the use of technology materials, supplies and equipment to support all content areas in grades K-5. Purchase additional iPads to replace out-of-date inventory. Other expenditures will include, but are not limited to: replacement parts for promethean boards, replacement bulbs for existing promethean board projectors, replacement classroom headphones, replacement cables, external numeric keypads, cases for ipads, presentation remotes, iPad stylus pens, replacement supplies for poster printer, document cameras, and other supplemental technology supplies.

Provide instructional materials to support SC College and Career Ready standards in ELA, Mathematics, and Science and close gaps in student learning as well as providing families with materials during school events and activities to support at-home strategies to improve student achievement. Expenditures will include, but are not limited to, consumable instructional supplies and materials for classroom to include, but not limited to: folders, notebooks, binders, paper, pencils, pens, markers, highlighters, gluesticks, sticky notes, erasers, dry erase materials, flashcards, envelopes, colored paper, copier printer paper, anchor chart paper, etc. Integrate technology into classroom instruction with the use of technology materials, supplies and equipment to support all content areas in grades K-5.

Professional Development: summer sessions for teachers, support staff, and instructional leaders; In-house and on-going training from current faculty members who are strong in the areas of Phonics, ELA and Math; contracted services for schools improvement; professional conference attendance.
