Gankyil is a community studying and passing on the treasures of the endangered Tibetan culture and Tibetan Buddhism under the guidance and direction of Yingrik Drubpa Rinpoche. Yingrik Drubpa Rinpoche was born in Tibet in 1976 and from an early age, was receiving instruction and education. He started his Buddhist teachings in China in 2002. Later in 2007, he was told by his beloved teacher to come to the U.S., and found the Gankyil Organization. Gankyil is open to all Buddhist schools of thought and traditions, as well as other sources of inspiration including the latest scientific discoveries. For people who aspire to follow the Buddha’s path, Gankyil offers a complete path of study and practice towards the goal of enlightenment. On the worldly side, we wish to work actively on preserving the material and immaterial Tibetan legacies, including the language, poetry, music, painting, and medicine through collection, archive, translation, and exhibitions.

Our learning center currently is in San Leandro in the San Francisco Bay Area. Yingrik Drubpa Rinpoche has offered many valuable teachings since 2007. We are also gradually making the teachings available in the form of audio recording and/or text transcription to benefit all the people learning on our website at www.gankyil.org.
