U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Community College Internships (CCI) at the National Laboratories (Including Fermilab in Batavia and Argonne in Lemont)

Focus on science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). Including but not limited to science or math research, industrial hygiene and safety, electrical safety, etc.

Court Monitoring Internship or Volunteer Opportunity with MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving)

For those interested in criminal justice, law, psychology, and other areas associated with substance abuse.		Varies. Advanced Technology Technician Training (AT³)

This is a training intended to help students be more successful in finding and completing an internship. Areas of focus are Micro and Nano Technologies & Semiconductor Tech, Artificial Intellegence, Machine Learning & Computer Science, Robotics & Automation, Biotechnology, Advanced Manufacturing & Precision Machining, and Quantum Tech. Audio/Visual Editor Intern or Graphic Design Intern with Cherry WillowAurora areaCherry Willow is a new, not-for-profit that began in January. The money they collect from donations and by selling their apparel, will be put towards providing shelter for those experiencing homelessness. They are looking for individuals who can support their mission with audio/video editing or graphic designing (logo work). This would be an ideal experience for someone who already has some knowledge in these areas, since there isn't anyone at the organization currently doing this work who could directly mentor these roles. This opportunity is not available for earning credit at the college. It is unpaid for now, but they are working towards securing funding to potentially make these positions paid. Flexible hours. CIS/Cybersecurity focused (not for those interested in Software Development; largely customer support)		St. Charles, ILPaid, part-time or full-time between 8:30 am - 5:00 pm. Teqworks is looking for interns with a technical aptitude who love problem solving and are great communicators. This is not a remote position. Interns would work in the St. Charles office and travel to local area customers as needed. Interns would most likely be placed in the Solution Delivery department (engineering and installation), but there may be some opportunity in their Cybersecurity department.
