What is the R.A.C.I. Chart?

THE R.A.C.I. Chart is an organizing matrix that helps teams clarify roles, and responsibilities for project tasks. This document’s purpose is to describe a team member’s contributions to project delivery by position to complete tasks, milestones, and deliverables to ensure smoother workflows.

THE R.A.C.I. Chart stands for:
Responsible: This team member completes the tasks.
Accountable: This team member oversees and delegates the tasks onward to completion.
Consulted: This team member provides useful information that assist in the task being completed. They also may review the work before its deemed finalized.
Informed: This team member will need to be kept informed on the progress/status of the project task.
