(225)342-0991Complete this form: https://gov.louisiana.gov/index.cfm/form/home/4Hello, my name is [NAME]. I’m a Louisiana community member and I’m calling for Governor Edwards to veto all anti-LGBT+ legislation. These bills are: SB 44, the transgender sports ban; HB 570, the transgender healthcare ban; and HB 837, the Don't Say Gay bill. These bills discriminate against LGBT+ kids. Last year, the Governor said he cared about transgender youth when the NCAA threatened to pull out of the state. This year, the NCAA is not threatening to leave, and Edwards has not yet committed to a veto. If the governor cares about our youth, he needs to PUBLICLY commit to vetoing them NOW like he did last year. subject: VETO all LGBT+ bills
Governor Edwards,
I’m a resident of Louisiana and I’m calling on the Governor to veto all anti-LGBT+ legislation. These bills are: SB 44, the transgender sports ban; HB 570, the transgender healthcare ban; and HB 837, the Don't Say Gay bill. These bills discriminate against LGBT+ kids. He did this last year when the NCAA threatened to pull out of states that passed anti-LGBT+ legislation, but he said it was about protecting trans youth. This year, the NCAA is not threatening to leave. If the governor cares about our youth, he needs to publicly commit to vetoing them now. Edwards must follow through on his committments and put Louisiana's children ahead of money.

I left a voicemail. I also used the email form but reworded it slightly to address the governor directly since the message was specifically to "Governor Edwards".
