Dear Visitor,

This spreadsheet evaluates study Bibles according to how they help or hinder readers with OIA Bible study (observe, interpret, apply). I explain the evaluation categories in a series of posts on the Knowable Word blog. Just click on the "blessings" or "curses" in the following post:
http://www.knowableword.com/2015/09/18/how-to-get-the-best-out-of-your-study-bible/

I freely confess the ratings are neither scientific nor perfectly objective. They merely represent my own evaluation of each study Bible according to its blessings and curses, relative to the OIA process. On the right are the final scores ("Blessings" score minus "Curses" score). The scores do not measure the "best" or "worst" study Bibles - they merely measure how well the study Bibles do at helping ordinary people learn to study the Bible.

Visit http://www.knowableword.com/2012/08/10/our-bible-study-method-oia/ to learn more about the OIA process.

In Christ,
Peter Krol
