He describes Bob Dylan and how people were claiming he was stealing their music and work - When really he was transforming them into something new. The way he describes everything is a remix is exactly how i feel about it all too.Everything is a remix.Yes, i agree with Kirby. Nothing is really original because it comes from little pieces of things that people have already created. If people blamed Bob Dylan for taking their artwork, haven't every artist in the modern world stolen from others?

Everything is a REMIX.I agree with him because in your head you have your own ideas, but there are reasons for those ideas, whether you got it from someone else or you saw it somewhere. Everything is art or has art in it and is created from one another.Art and creativity all come from one another. You take something you've seen or used and make it your own.

Everything artist is a remix.Yes, because everyone needs some kind of inspiration to create our own idea based on that inspiration.I think that everyone needs to be inspired by anything that they liked or interested in.

9/26/2012 8:03:10MaddieWitkusI really enjoyed the fact that he started out with examples of Bob Dylan and ended his speech referring back to him. It is the mark of a good speech writer, to have something come full circle. I also found it rather interesting that he touched on the subject of human hipocracy, the fact that we do not shy away from stealing something, but we hate when something is stolen from us. Everything is a remix; nothing is fully ours, nor original in the first place.Yes, I find it liberating that I can do what I like, because there's always a source of inspiration. I find that intriguing. I think everything is just a new and improved version of something else. But we need to improve as a society, and if someone can make something better, they should.

All creativity comes from other peoples discoveries and creations and we just chop em up and "remix it". yes, I know that when I'm trying to get inspiration I look at others peoples works and use their ideas to inspire my own; well a remix of theres.I think that everyone should think like this and not be selfish. It's not a bad thing to inspire people, you should feel good about it.

And then says to embrace the idea that everything is a remix is not to embrace mediocrity but to liberate yourself from your misconceptions about creativity and not putting so much pressure on yourself to do something new.Everything is a remix.Yes, I agree that nothing is truly original and all creativity is just a version of someone else's work.2 KEWL 4 SKOOL.
