The tan sticks outThe tree and the skyFirst I looked sat the ground and noticed the shadow of the tree and looked at the tree which led me to the sky and cloudsshallowThe treeIt looks like mid day because the sun is out but it dosnt look like morning or early night.Harshasymmetrical because there isn't objects going around an axis pointThe rocksBecause they are all over the imageThe dark rocks against the light water and the white clouds against the dark blue sky.The clouds in the sky have sharp lines and the water against the sand fades so its not as sharpThe sky is rough and the water and sand are smoothYesIt leads you from the front to the back of the image

The clouds in the sky and tree. The sky and tree.ShallowThe tree does.It looks like it was taken around noon because the sun is out. It's harshAsymmetrical because the object isn't going around an axis point. The rocksThey are everywhere in the image. It looks dark in the front of the photo because of rocks are dark and it looks brighter in back because of the sky makes the rock bright. The clouds in the sky have a sharp line and the water and against the sand fades it's not sharp. The sky is more rough and the sand and water are not rough.Yes it does. Its leads you from the front to the back of the photo.

7/23/2013 21:10:45TevinPielhauSummerThe tree is what I notice first because it stands out against the blue sky.Second: sky
Third: ground
The hill moves your eye over to the shadow of the tree.DeepThe small clouds in the distance and the horizon line.Late morning.SoftSymmetricalThe curvy lines. They seem to mirror each other. The contrast makes the water and sky visually pop.The sky and water are bright and intense. The rocks, sand and clouds are dull. The rocks are smooth and the sand is rough.Yes, it makes it more intense and dramatic effecting the depth of field. It makes it appear as if it goes on forever.

7/24/2013 7:31:08DanielleBykowskiSummerthe hill because its the closet thing from this question when i moved my eyes to look at it. the clouds and the treethey all flow together. shallowthe hill afternoonish. shadow. softasymmetrical rocks theyre everywherewater makes the sky pop. the colors go from intense to dull like in the sky. sky is rough sand and rocks are smooth yup it starts at the front of the image and leads you o the back of the image.

7/25/2013 7:28:35AshleighAckerman1The tree, because it's in the front of the picture and stands out from the rest. The sky, because of the color it stands out from all the "dead" grass. The tree is sum what in the corner of the picture and stands out from the rest because there really ins't anything else going on in the picture.Shallow? I guess...?What ever makes the meaning greater. It is late afternoon, or early morning, and because of the brightness. It's soft-ish.Symmetrical, because of the stones. The stones and the sand.It is a peaceful thing.it gets lighter farther back you look. The back is intense and the front is dull.the stones look smooth and the sand looks soft. Most likely depends on how the person thinks.it shows the closer things first.

7/25/2013 8:33:58ArielleZambaSummerI notice the tree first because it is on the rule of thirds line.I noticed the bright blue sky against the dull ground, then how the grass was greener by the tree.Because of the focal point, my eyes move from left to right. Its kind of both because the focal point is close but the picture goes deep into the background.the focal point. Its around noon because the sky is bright blue.the light is soft.Symmetrical because the whole picture has the same thing, rocks, water and sand. The rocks. It makes it seem like everything is the same, the dark rocks and sand turn into white water and clouds.the blue in the sky is intense and the sand is dull. The rocks are smooth and the sand is rough. It kind of does because it leads you into the brighter background. The picture seems to be a wide picture but it is only of one part of the beach.

7/25/2013 9:10:45MadiHansenSummerThe tree because it is on the rule of the thirds line and it is right up front.the sky
the dead grasse
When i look at the tree, there is holes through the branches and it makes me want to look at the background, which is the sky. then, if i look all around the sky it leads me down to the dead grass.shallowthe treemiddle of the day because the sun is out and its not setting or rising.softasymmetrical because nothing is going around the axis point.rocksThey are repeatedly in the imagethe rocks against the shiny water in the back
the color is very different shades between the sky and the sand. The sky is rough and the rocks and sand are smooth.yes.They go from front to back.

7/25/2013 9:30:42MariaSalernoSummerThe tree, because it is closer to us.The sky, and then the land below it.By following the branches of the trees, we look to other areas of the photo. The depth of field is shallow. The horizon in the background. It is in the afternoon, based on the lighting and the shadow of the tree.Soft.Asymmetrical. they river is not the same on each side. The rocks and the clouds and the river. They are all the same, therefore they are all united. It creates drama and awe.The blue of the sky is intense but the gray of the clouds is dull. The rocks look smooth but the ground around it does not.Yes. It looks like the river goes on and on.

7/30/2013 11:24:26TimothyFlorekSummerI notice the tree, it is in focus and unique. While the rest of the photo is either the ground or the sky, the tree contrasts with these two things. It's more in focus as well, drawing the eye towards it. I notice the shadow of the tree and the clouds in the background. Once you look at the tree, and then towards the ground the tree stands in, you notice the shadow of the tree. When looking at this shadow, the clouds are within your peripheral vision, and they seem interesting and distinct. It's shallow. The land forms a hill, so you're not looking at very much, but the difference between the ground and sky makes it look deep. Most of the subject matter is close by as well. The ground forms a hill, and you can tell by the ripples and the shadow of the tree. The tree is in front of most of the ground and the ground is in front of the sky, naturally. This also creates depth. It's daytime, and you know this because the tree is casting a shadow and the sky is clear and bright, even if you cannot se a sun.The light is sitting at a midpoint between the too. It's not soft, but it's not too harsh. Leaning on the harsh side. (Compared to the second image, which has a soft light). It's symmetrical in theme. The water flows through the sand and the rocks in the same way until the end of the stream, and on both sides of the stream, the landscape is similar. The clouds create contrast with the rest of the image in the same way the water creates contrast with the land it flows over. The rocks, water ,and clouds are repeated. The ground is sort of repeated. The photograph makes sense. It seems natural, like something you might see in nature. It looks like one landscape, and all elements seem to fit in the image. The contrast helps create a mood. It's sort of peaceful, but at the same time it's dark. The clouds help add to this effect. Most of the colors are dull and lack saturation, but there's a lot of contrast between the ground and rocks and the water. The sky contrasts with the rest of the picture because of the high saturation of the blue. Most of the textures are smooth, but in the foreground, it's a bit more rough. As you travel further away from your viewpoint, everything becomes smoother. Yes. This point of view gives us a clear picture of the whole seen, and strategically places the rocks and water.Objects are in front of other objects, and the lines they form give a sense of depth. This all contributes to space.
