Want to volunteer as a Literacy Hero and read with at-risk children in a non-profit location in our community? Register for Literacy Hero training to learn how to build early literacy skills, help young readers with reading comprehension, instill a love of books and reading, give one-on-one attention to children who often don’t get much attention, and help the youth of our community (which in turn strengthens our community).
Attendance at BOTH sessions is required: May 14 from 2-3:30 and May 17 from 2-3:30
Meet in the Teen Activity Room on the upper level of the main library for the Tuesday session. The Friday location will be announced at that time.
The Literacy Heroes program is sponsored by the Friends of Herrick District Library
