McCombs Affiliated Student Organization Application

* THIS FORM MUST BE COMPLETED IN ONE SITTING * BENEFITS • Access to the Frito-Lay Student Leadership Center, including a locker and use of reservable space • Support of Student Life Advisors & Administrators • Apply for funding from OSL and the BBA Alumni Excellence Fund • Request corporate contacts information • Advertise events in BBA News Blog, Message Monitors, annual Recruiter’s Summit booklet • Able to post 25 event flyers around the school • Name on Texas BBA website and spot at Gone to Business REQUIREMENTS • Remain in active status with SALD – UT Dean of Students Office - SSB • Follow Student Activities and Leadership Development (SALD) rules & guidelines • Provide the Office of Student Life with up to date leadership board contact information, significant changes, and MASO application • At least two officers must attend MANDATORY MASO Trainings • Appropriate use of the Frito Lay Student Leadership Center • President attends Organization Presidents' Roundtable • Officers attend speeches given by the dean • Spend money & use resources appropriately • 60% of organization must be business students • Represent McCombs well at all times • Respond to inquiries by the OSL in a timely manner • Schedule required individual meetings with the Coordinator of MASO at OSL Failure to meet the requirements may result in a semester or a year probation as well as removal as a McCombs Affiliate Student Organization. If appropriate, the Dean will report issues to SALD for further action.

Although advisors are not required, we encourage your organization to consider having one. An advisor provides continuity from year to year and serves as a signatory on official forms when other authorized representatives are not available. An advisor can also provide advice in designing and evaluating organization goals and mission. If you do not have one, please put N/A. If you would like one, please contact the MASO Coordinator.

UBC Organization Representative Member

The Undergraduate School of Business has one sponsored organization: the Undergraduate Business Council (UBC). The UBC is the representative body of McCombs Undergraduates and is the umbrella organization of the McCombs Affiliated Student Organizations (MASOs). - Organization must be registered with SALD office for at least one year - Organization must agree not to have meetings between 6 – 9 Wednesday, which is the proposed time for MASO and UBC Meetings Requirements of UBC Organization Representative Member: • Attend Organization Representative meetings • Be able to serve for the entire duration of the academic year • Attend Business Council Organization Representative meetings at 6:00 pm every Wednesday • Attend a weekly office hour in the Frito Lay Student Leadership Center • Attend Formal Orientation and Informal Retreat Weekend in the fall • Be actively involved in Business Council programs and committees • Be in good standing with the Undergraduate Programs Office
