Bay Are Solidarity Summer 2012 Volunteer Application

Bay Area Solidarity Summer is a four-day three-night camp for Desi teenagers to learn about progressive issues, gain organizing skills, connect with other South Asian activists and develop themselves into leaders. The all-inclusive camp will provide space for young people to learn skills on how to be a social activist, as well as learn about issues affecting the South Asian community both locally and globally. For more information, visit BASS is run by a volunteer collective of South Asian artists, teachers, and activists, working to increase civic engagement and social justice education and resources for South Asian youth. We believe a large part of the experience of being a volunteer is the collective leadership and community building process with like-minded South Asian activists during the months leading up to the camp. Interested in joining the team? Fill out this application by February 3rd. Our first volunteer orientation meeting will be on February 5th in Oakland.
