2013 Internship Application
Children Sports International Internship Program is an important part of our organization’s mission. As part of an volunteer based grassroots organization, interns will be exposed to the world of a charity as it relates to community relations, youth programming, marketing, public policy and fundraising events. Interns can work on both a local and national campaigns, exploring the inner workings of non-profit organization and the powerful impact sports can play in a child's life.

INTERN REQUIREMENTS

Interns must be enrolled  as part-time or full-time students at an accredited academic college or university. Undergraduates, post-graduate and graduate candidates are considered based on application placement availability.

At this time our internship is unpaid, students may pursue internship/independent study credit from their home institution by submitting a course description and evaluation on tasks performed. Children Sports International itself does not provide course credit and is not part of any specific undergraduate or graduate program. However, we are more than willing to work with colleges and universities to make sure that interns can fulfill their institution requirements.

We understand that students have very busy schedules and we are willing to work around this. However, a level of commitment of 3 months( around 4 hours per week) is required. We require all interns to work independently and complete all assignments and tasks in a timely manner. Regular communication with other interns staff, committee and board members is vital component of program. Interns living in the Greater  Los Angeles area are expected to attend staff meetings, community events, and training sessions when possible.

Our interns come from a wide range of backgrounds including business, science, public health, language and humanities. We look for individuals with a strong interest in serving both local and world communities. We are looking for open-minded, self- motivated and driven individuals who are passionate about Helping Inspire Change and spreading our mission of health and peace though sports.

Intern Acknowledgment/ Consent to Terms of Agreement

- At the sole discretion of the Children Sports International Inc. Board of Directors and Executive Director, the duration of the internship may be extended or shortened with or without advance notice.
- As an intern, you will not be a Children Sports International employee. Therefore, you will not receive a salary, wages, or other compensation.
- You understand that participation in the internship program is not an offer of employment, and successful completion of the internship program does not entitle you to employment with the Children Sports International.
-During your internship, you may have access to confidential, proprietary, and/or trade secret information belonging to Children Sports International.
-You agree that you will keep all of this information strictly confidential and refrain from using it for your own purposes or from disclosing it to anyone outside the organization. In addition, you agree that, upon conclusion of the internship, you will immediately return to the Children Sports International all of its property, equipment, and documents, including electronically stored information.
