Building Champions through Service: Allstate BCS Championship Service Project 2012 in New Orleans
SERVICE PROJECT IN NEW ORLEANS
(there is a separate registration form for the service project in Tuscaloosa)
As part of the Allstate BCS National Championship Game, UA students and alumni will have the opportunity to work together with LSU students and alumni to make a positive impact in the New Orleans community. The service project will take place on Sunday, January 8 from 1 pm to 5 pm with check-in & lunch at 12:00 pm. We will be helping the Boys & Girls Club of Southeast Louisiana by improving their facilities, updating a baseball field, and doing beautification projects in the surrounding neighborhoods.
Space is limited for the service project, so please sign up early. Further information will be sent about location for the service.
Please note that each individual will need to be registered separately (even if part of the same family).
No transportation will be provided to New Orleans. There is a possibility of a shuttle service that will run from area hotels in order to ease the transportation issues. Lunch will be provided prior to the service.
Questions can be directed to Wahnee Sherman at firstname.lastname@example.org or to the Community Service Center at 205-348-2865. Please be advised that the University will close for Winter Break at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, December 22. The University will re-open on Tuesday, January 3, 2012.
