USY International Heschel Honor Society Kinnus 2012 Application

Dear Heschel Honor Society Member: The International Heschel Honor Society Kinnus is just around the corner! This year’s Kinnus will be hosted by Tifereth Israel Congregation in Washington, D.C. from March 9-11, 2012. We are very excited about the weekend, as it allows the opportunity for in-depth study and programs beyond those offered in a normal chapter, regional or international Shabbaton. To register for the weekend, please complete the online form by February 17, 2012. Please do not forget to mail your registration fee of $125. You will not be officially registered until we have received payment. You must be a current Heschel Honor Society member to attend. All forms must be complete, with all signatures, payment, and information. Attendance at the weekend is limited, and will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Please do not make any travel arrangements unless you have received email confirmation that you have been accepted to attend the Kinnus. TRAVEL INFORMATION: Attached to the application email is a travel form. If you already know your travel plans, you can fill out the travel section in this form. If you do not yet know your plans, please fill out the travel form attached to the application email and send it back by February 24, 2012. PLEASE CAREFULLY READ THE TRAVEL GUIDELINES. Those who will be flying in for the Kinnus should fly into BWI Marshall Airport. Please plan your Friday flights to arrive between 8:30 am and 11:30 am. Please plan your Sunday flights to depart no earlier than 3:30 pm. Those arriving by train should arrive at the BWI Amtrak rail station by 11:00 AM. There is a free shuttle you will catch from the rail station to the airport terminal. Instructions will be provided closer to Kinnus. Once we know everyone's travel plans, we will work out transportation to the hosting synagogue, which will be shared with you in a confirmation mailing approximately one week before the weekend. Additionally, please come equipped with a bag lunch or enough food to tie your over, as we will only be providing nosh on Friday.
