Blackboard Collaborate Workshop (facilitator, Alvin Butler) - LOCATION: LRC Computer Lab - LR346
This session will introduce you to the Webinar/Live Classroom tool adopted by Lewis University. Learn to engage with your students live and optionally provide recordings for the student to review. [It should be noted that Blackboard Collaborate replaces Wimba Live Classroom, which is rapidly approaching end of life.]

TURNITIN/GradeMark (facilitators, Suzan Sollie & Lisa Caldwell) - LOCATION: Impact Lab - Library 1st Floor
This session will introduce/review the Turnitin Blackboard tool. As you look toward the end of the term, you may want to use this tool for similarity/plagiarism checking of papers. The Grademark function of Turnitin allows for efficient electronic markup and return of papers. In addition, these tools provide a green solution for handling papers. Turnitin now has rubrics as well.

This session will introduce/review the Blackboard Grade Center. The Grade Center may be one of your most important tools for communicating with students. You syllabus and mode of collecting assessments are important considerations for setting up your Grade Center.

Did you know that Blackboard now has interactive Rubrics for grading student work? Find out how these rubrics can be set up, associated with assessments and shared. You will get access to sample rubrics that you can use ‘as is’ or modify to meet your needs.

Do you have some tests in a Word file that you want to move on line? Do you want to look at an alternative (to the Blackboard test canvas ) mode of creating exams for Blackboard? This session will provide you with an introduction to a tool that will help. You will need to bring your own computer to have the software installed.
