KWU- Music & Theatre Preview Day- November 15, 2013

The visit day will allow prospective students and their families the opportunity to learn more about the performing arts opportunities KWU offers, as well as having the opportunity to interact with various professionals within the Fine Arts Division. The visit day session will also provide prospective students and their guest with a meal, campus tour, admission session, and will the opportunity to visit the fine arts faculty related toward their performing area of interest.

• 12:45 pm -1:00 pm Registration – Sams Hall of Fine Arts, Fitzpatrick Auditorium • 1:00 pm -2:00 pm Campus Tour • 2:00pm – 2:30 pm Admissions and Financial Aid -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- • 2:30pm Coyote Music Experience Come and experience MUSIC at KWU. Working with faculty and interacting with currently music majors. Optional Music Scholarship Audition is available for Seniors. • 2:30pm - College Musician 123 in Choir Room • 2:50pm -3:20pm Yoga and Breathing for Musicians in the Gym • 3:20pm-4:00pm Conduct the Ensemble! • 4:00pm- Optional Scholarship Audition for Seniors -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- • 2:30pm -3:50pm The Theatre- The Bomb A workshop on making cray –cray theatre that is out of the box. Through exercise, improvisation, movement, music and rapid fire story telling we create a piece of theatre that is epic and intense. We will perform our devised theatre piece for the public. • 4:00pm – 5:00pm Performance -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- • 5:30pm - 6:30pm Dinner – Martinelli’s • 7:00pm – 10:00pm Opera: The Elixir of Love – Stiefel Theatre, 151 S. Santa Fe Ave, Salina, KS












Fine Arts- Music Auditions

Students interested in auditioning for a vocal grant should prepare 2 contrasting pieces, 1 in a foreign language. Instrumental auditions will only be required to prepare 1 solo piece. Please note that an accompanist will be available during auditions.
