Save the BeltLine Call-In Day

Your help is needed to call our neighbors and ask them to call Mayor Reed to express their views on the proposed big-box Fuqua development on Glenwood Avenue that does not comply with the Beltline Sub-Area Master Plan, which the community worked to develop for many years. Big box retail is not consistent with the Beltline vision of transit-oriented development. On Thursday, November 15th Smart Glenwood, in partnership with ResurgentAtlanta.com and the Georgia Sierra Club's RAIL committee, will be mobilizing concerned citizens of Southeast Atlanta to express their views about the proposed Fuqua development at 800 Glenwood Avenue by calling the Mayor's Office. You can make calls from anywhere you have a computer, access to the internet and a phone line. An optional training session will be held on Thursday at 10:00am, and detailed instructions will be sent to all volunteers. After logging on through the website, you click that you are ready to take live calls and the system will connect you to other Southeast Atlantans. Simply walk through the script and patch them through to the Mayor's office.
