Want to spend a day paired with a child with Down Syndrome? Volunteer!
During the carnival, all children with Down Syndrome under the age of 21 (and interested siblings) will attend a carnival with a Princeton student volunteers. The carnival will host a variety of activities including a scavenger hunt, sports, interactive stories and games, and other stations run by Princeton student groups. There will also be a nursery for all children under the age of 2.
As a volunteer, you will be paired with a child with Down Syndrome from 12:30-4:00pm. All volunteers will be trained and will receive individual information on their specific child for the day.
All participants must go to one MANDATORY training session that will be held the week before the conference. You only have to attend one training session. The times for the training are:
Drop out Policy:
Volunteers will not be allowed to drop out past **********, due to the fact that you will have been assigned a buddy by then. If you find out that you are unable to attend after this date, you will be responsible for finding your own replacement.
