How did you hear about Vision 2020?
Vision 2020 is a national coalition of organizations and individuals united in the commitment to achieve women's economic and social equality. Please indicate which State Initiative project you would be most interested in developing.
These State Initiatives coincide with one or several of Vision 2020's five National Goals. National Delegates are encouraged, but not limited to, electing one of the following templates as their State Initiative. Please check one or more Initiative.
Vision 2020 Conferences: Vision 2020 Conferences offer an opportunity to educate the public on Vision 2020 goals and/ or a current women’s equality issue. The goal of holding such a conference is to inspire the public, to gather momentum, take action and create lasting change, so that the mission of women’s equality by 2020 is achieved.
Nonpartisan Political Campaign Training: “Real Women Run” is a nonpartisan campaign training program developed to encourage women to run for office on the local, city and state levels. The objective of such a program is to provide these women with the support, network and resources needed to effectively run for a publicly elected position.
Government Appointment Project: In order to raise awareness about the need for political gender parity, the Women’s Appointments Project creates state-based coalitions that ask gubernatorial candidates to sign a pledge promising to make their best effort to substantially increase the number of experienced, credible women appointed to high-level state government positions.
Equality in Leadership Survey: This initiative surveys large state employers in the corporate and non-profit worlds to learn the current status of women’s leadership in individual states and to educate these sectors and the public on successful practices to drive women's advancement to corporate officer and director positions.
Pay Negotiation Workshops: Using educational materials provided by Vision 2020 National Allies, Pay Negotiation Workshops can be established within workplaces, professional organizations and networks, and/or college campuses to empower women with the confidence to negotiate their professional worth.
Mentorship Program: The mentorship program organizes professional women within local communities to facilitate a year or multi-year mentorship program, which includes a variety of one-on-one sessions with students and larger developmental events, such as presentations, panel discussions, key-note dinners and group networking dinners, outings, etc. for young women.
Vision 2020 Chapters: Campus Chapters are established on high school and college campuses to promote Vision 2020’s mission to the next generation of leaders and to educate younger generations of the change they can create among their own peers.
National Goal Implementation Focus: This public relations approach to Vision 2020’s goals allows Delegates to leverage their spheres of influence to engage women and men in Vision 2020’s mission and activities related to achieving women’s equality by the year 2020.
Other: If a Delegate has an existing program in place that aligns with Vision 2020’s mission, the National Office is more than happy to assist with its implementation.
If you have chosen "Other" out of the State Initiative list above, briefly describe your planned activity and timeline.
