Pharmacy Council Committee Chair Application

Dear P1 and P2 students, Pharmacy Council would like to invite you to apply for PC Committee Chair positions for the 2013-2014 academic year. It is a great way to get involved at the College level. You will have many opportunities to get to know COP faculty, staff, and other students as well as current issues. The deadline to apply will be: Tues, March 19th at 5 pm. The available committees are listed below: Project Collaborate (2 Chairs) Know Your Medicine Committee (2 chair) Interprofessional Liaison (1 chair) Fundraising (2 Chairs) Pharmacy Month (2 Chairs) Philanthropy (2 Chairs) Student Affairs (1 Chair) Faculty Relations/Social (2 Chairs) Health Awareness (2 Chairs) Student Planner (1 Chair) LPPA Liason (1 chair) IM Coordinator (2 chairs) Student Interviews (4 Chairs) Explore UT (2 Chairs) Here are descriptions of our 2 newest chair positions: Interprofessional Liaison (1 chair) • Attend Nursing, Public Health, and Social Work council meetings every month and report back relevant events to Pharmacy Council • Work in cooperation with other councils to plan interprofessional events • Be the main point of contact between the pharmacy school and other health professional schools Know Your Medicine (2 chairs) • 1 chair must be assigned to the San Antonio region • 1 chair must be assigned to the Austin, Dallas, or Houston regions • Oversee medication review and follow-up call service events at their respective regions • Work collaboratively with the other KYM Chair in tasks that advance distance site collaboration • Create a 1 year vision for the upcoming school year and ensure that all committee members are on track with that vision • Ensure that research and projects are on track with the 5 year vision of KYM • Play an active role in the research associated with KYM • Ensure that the region coordinators and project team leaders prepare tangible results that detail their work with KYM If you have any questions, please email me at jocelynjoseph@utexas.edu.
