Take Back the Tap UC Berkeley (TbtT) is an initiative to end the sale of plastic water bottles on the UCB campus by 2014 while generating awareness of the social and environmental impacts of the plastic water bottle industry. TBtT was created by the ASUC Senate in response to the “End the Sale of Water Bottles Referendum” Senate Bill that passed by a 5:1 margin in the Spring 2011 campus election. Why should water be privatized in the form of single-use plastic that will spend millions of years in a landfill when water is a basic human right that is accessible all around campus? Help UC Berkeley achieve its Zero Waste and Water Bottle Free Initiatives by becoming a part of the Take Back the Tap initiative!
