Welcome to the online request form for Painted Bar Stables. Please fill out the following questions to request a reservation.

The more information you can give us about your schedule, the riding abilities of your group (or lack thereof), and any special needs you may have, the better we will be able to help make your ride the perfect atxperience. Please be honest and accurate and do not overestimate your group's current level of riding abilities.

NOTE: Due to volume and inundation we only accept requests for appointments through this form. We cannot accept requests via phone, email, text, facebook or other avenues as it is too hard to track.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS A REQUEST FORM FOR A BOOKING AND NOT A BOOKING CONFIRMATION

Rides are not considered booked until you have received and paid your customized booking invoice.

Any submission (other than "other questions") will be considered a request for a reservation.

Dates & Notices of Importance

The barn owner will be traveling with horses and students on an EquiTravels Trek in the Virginia Highlands from August 12-19 and may not be able to respond to your inquiries and emails.

During this time the remaining staff at home will be doing their best to keep up with imminent bookings. Please understand if we do not have the availability to take you riding during the time period.

We have INCREDIBLY LIMITED AVAILABILITY August 12-16 with a fully booked schedule. Please understand that we may not be able to fit you into the schedule unless you can fit into an already existing ride on the remaining horses available.

WINTER SEASON:

The winter season we are open only to 1 hour and 1 ½ hour trail ride routes due to trail closures in the Finger Lakes National Forest.

SPRING SEASON:
The only trail route open during Spring mud season will be our 1 hour and 1 ½ hour routes due to trail closures in the Finger Lakes National Forest March 15 - May 1st

FALL SEASON:
We cannot offer our 1 ½ Hour Adventure Route nor our 2 Hour Hilltop Boogie Route during Deer Bow and Crossbow Hunting Season (October 1 - Start of Rifle Season Mid-November)

FALL CLOSURE: Trail Rides are closed during Deer Rifle Hunting Season from mid-November until early-December.

Lessons and unmounted activities will continue as usual during this time.

VINEYARD RIDES:

Rides at the vineyard only happen on specific dates. We cannot go on other dates because of our arrangement with the vineyard and the need for trailering horses. Vineyard trail rides are only able to take 4 riders due to the fact that we have to trailer horses from our farm to the vineyard and are limited in the number of horses we can bring on the trailer.
