We will also keep your information on hand so that you will be among the first to receive the announcement of next summer's AIRF Youth ArtBeat weeks. * * * * * Opportunity for rising 7th-10th graders residing in Takoma Park or Silver Spring, Maryland Two one-week sessions of a summer arts program c/o the African Immigrant and Refugee Foundation, in partnership with Carpe Diem Arts, Pyramid Atlantic, Imagination Stage -- with funding support from the Takoma Foundation, Labor Heritage Foundation, Donors Investing in the Arts (DIVA’s), and Children’s Charities Foundation Youth ArtBeat Summer Weeks (choose one) June 18-22 -- 10:30am-4:30pm (except Wednesday, 9:45am start-time to get to Bethesda for 10:30am performance) June 25-29 -- 10:30am-4:30pm (except Wednesday, 9:45am start-time...) JOIN US FOR WORKSHOPS, ARTS ACTIVITIES AND FIELD TRIPS! -- Theater Workshops w/ Imagination Stage -- Free tickets to see the production of "The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe," a collaboration between Imagination Stage and The Washington Ballet -- Story, Song and Drum in the African Griot Tradition -- A Day of Art at Pyramid Atlantic -- African dance workshop -- Health & Fitness, School/Life/Career coaching session -- Field Trip to Museums and Galleries on the Mall -- Private tour of the Smithsonian Museum of African Art -- June 29 culminating potluck African feast and program of songs, dances, art exhibit and drum circle -- and more!
