The Iowa Junior and Senior Simmental Associations would like to identify the Simmental Champions in your county following the county fair. We will present these winners with an award at our annual field day held the first weekend in June 2014.
Recognition awards will be given by the Iowa Junior and Senior Simmental Associations to all county Simmental champions. The Iowa Simmental Association qualifications rules are noted below. Notification must be made by the county 4-H or FFA youth leader or the county Extension Personnel by October 31 via the online form. Questions can be directed to Kellie Carolan, IJSA Advisor, at firstname.lastname@example.org or (641) 751-0737.
In addition to this program, the American Simmental Association has an Achievement certificate which recognizes outstanding performance by 4-H or FFA members using Simmentals in county beef programs. No application is required. Winners are selected by county agents, youth directors, or Vo-Ag instructors. These certificates may be obtained by notifying Kellie Carolan, and she will send them directly to you to be presented. This is a nice way to honor your outstanding young Simmental breeder at an appropriate local event such as award night, etc.
NOTE: Please feel free to submit multiple animals from one youth in a single form. However, please submit different forms for each youth exhibitor. Thank you!
