Field Trip Permission Slip 2013-2014
Below is a list of all the details of the trips we will be attending this school year.  Please mark the appropriate box to indicate whether you do or do not give permission for your child to attend the below stated trips this school year.  A full review of the trips including additional details can be found at www.mrsaevents.com where you can also sign-up as a chaperone.

Airport Overlook Lunch & Discussion 9/12/13 *
This trip is $1.00.  Students will travel via bus and eat a picnic style lunch at the airport overlook.  
Imaginon/Uptown Transportation Tour 9/18/13- Zagorski & 9/25/13- Dey *
This trip is $1.00.  Students will travel via bus and LYNX, and ride the trolley.  They will also visit the CTC Center before going to the library.
Fire Station #20 10/2/13 *
This trip is $1.00.  Students will travel via bus and visit fire station #20 where they will learn about fire safety and tour the station and a fire truck.
Aw Shucks Pumpkin Patch 10/30/13 *
This trip is $9.00.  Students will travel via bus visit the pumpkin patch where they will go on a hay ride, see farm animals, go through a corn maze, and pick their own pumpkin.
Trick or Treat at Cypress Retirement Home 10/31/13 *
This trip is $1.00.  Students will travel via bus and trick or treat with residents while practicing social skills.
Hiddenite Gem Mining 11/13/13 *
This trip is $14.00.  Students will travel via bus and participate in an educational talk, creeking, sluicing, and see a museum.
Polar Express, Gingerbread, and Imaginon Trip 12/4/13- Dey & 12/11/13- Zagorski *
This trip is $1.00.  Students will travel via bus and LYNX to uptown.  They will visit Founder's Hall and the Ritz Carlton as well as Imaginon for their bi-weekly library trip.
Night of the Notables Trip 12/10/13 *
This trip is $1.00.  Students will travel via bus.  They will sing songs and give away homemade valentines to the residents.
Charlotte Nature Museum 1/15/14 *
This trip is $9.00.  Students will travel via bus.  They will tour the museum, go on a nature hike, eat lunch in Freedom Park, and participate in the program "Woods in Winter."
Schiele Museum  2/5/14 *
This trip is $8.00.  Students will travel via bus to the Schiele Museum where they will participate in the Earth Magic program.  
Cypress Retirement Home 2/14/14 *
This trip is $1.00.  Students will travel via bus.  They will sing songs and give away homemade valentines to the residents.
Matthews Playhouse 2/26/14 *
This trip is $8.00.  Students will travel via bus.  They will watch the performance Stinky Cheese Man.
Seussical at Ovens Auditorium 3/5/14 *
This trip is $10.00.  Students will travel via bus.  They will watch the performance Seussical.
McDowell Nature Preserve 3/26/14 *
This trip is $6.00.  Students will travel via bus to McDowell Nature Center.  They will go on a nature hike, learn about nature's natural recyclers, and have a hands-on experience with various reptiles and amphibians.
Discovery Place Kids 4/9/14 *
This trip is $10.00.  Students will travel via bus.  They will tour the museum, participate in a class about mapping skills, and explore community helpers.
Mecklenburg Recycling Center 4/30/14 *
This trip is $1.00.  Students will travel via bus to the Recycling Center where they will see a presentation about recycling and learn how the county sorts and recycles all of the items.
Riverbanks Zoo 5/7/14 *
This trip is $10.00.  Students will travel via bus to the Riverbanks Zoo where they will see animals, habitats, and a botanical garden.
Discovery Place Uptown 5/28/14 *
This trip is $12.00.  Students will travel via bus to museum where they will participate in various classes, tour the museum, and conduct science experiments based on matter.
Cypress Retirement Home 5/30/14 *
This trip is $1.00.  Students will travel via bus.  They will sing songs and make homemade ice cream with the residents.
