2012 PGA of BC Golf Awards Nomination Form - Apprentice Professional of the Year
The PGA of BC Apprentice Professional of the Year is the highest honor the Association can bestow on a working Apprentice whose total contributions to the game best exemplify the PGA of Canada Apprentice Membership. This award embraces a wide range of services executed by the Apprentice.
PGA of BC Apprentice Professional of the Year Guidelines:
• Demonstration of outstanding qualities of leadership.
• Demonstration of strong moral character.
• Well-regarded as a role model to other PGA of BC Apprentice Professionals.
PGA of BC Apprentice Professional of the Year Criteria:
1. Criteria to Measure
a. Overall performance as an Apprentice Professional.
b. Service to the Zone and the Association.
c. Leadership ability.
d. Image and ability to inspire fellow Golf Professionals.
e. Promotion and growth of the game of golf.
2. Selection Process
a. Nomination should be based on a candidate’s entire past experience and commitment for continuing
one’s contributions and assistance.
b. Achievements during the past three years should be emphasized.
c. Zone Awards Committee will select a recipient based on the criteria.
3. Ineligible Categories
a. Previous PGA of BC Apprentice Professional of the Year winners
b. Past Presidents of the Association
c. Current members of the Canadian PGA Board of Directors
d. Unattached
e. Class A members
Books, videos and publications should NOT be submitted, but may be referenced in the nomination form.
The winner of the PGA of BC Apprentice Professional of the Year will be the finalist submitted for the National Apprentice Professional of the Year. National Awards will be presented at the PGA of Canada Awards Ceremony, during the CPC Tournament.
