The New York State Assembly is once again proposing to require "microstamping" for all firearms owners in the state. But this year, they're trying a different tact, and are attempting to include "microstamping" in the state budget. I agree with Senator Patty Ritchie that microstamping is an unnecessary infringement of the privacy and rights of law-abiding gun owners, and efforts to include it in the state budget amount to a sneak attack on sportsmen and shooters. I'm opposed to this effort to limit the rights of gun owners and urge the Legislature to reject microstamping. Signed:
