Poetry Unit Assessment Project - Record & Publish
1. Create a new Google Docs Drawing.
2. Insert:
---a title for the poem
---your poem (remove all of the labels first)
---a title for the image from the Smithsonian
---the image from the Smithsonian
---a heading (name, date, period, & name of assignment)
---a colored background

3. Open Jing (it is the little yellow sphere on your screen) and highlight your entire Google Drawing.
4. Use Jing to record a video of yourself reading your poem.  Use the format:
---This is _your name__.  I am going to read __name of your poem___ which is based on __name of image___.
---Read your poem.
5. Save & publish your recording to the web.  COPY the URL.

6. In Google Docs, publish your Google Drawing and copy the embed code.  It looks like this <ldfaslkdfjs;ldkfj>.
In Blogger, create a new blog post.  In the post, embed your Google Drawing AND create a link to your video.

Poem Expectations
be related to your picture from the Smithsonian
contain at least 100 words
contain two examples of imagery
contain one example of figurative language (simile, metaphor, or personification)
contain end rhymes with a rhyme scheme or internal rhyme within each line
contain alliteration or onomatopoeia (10th only)
be displayed as a Google drawing with the poem, image, and titles
be recorded as a Jing video with your voice reading the poem
be free of spelling and grammatical errors
