McGill Community Orientation Week: "À la Carte" Event Involvement
For the second year, the Orientation Programming Workgroup of the Orientation Planning Group is proud to invite the McGill Community (student groups/ clubs/ associations and McGill departments/ services/ faculties) to host an "À la Carte" event during McGill's Orientation Week for first-year students. The purpose of these individual events is to provide a more diverse selection of activities for students as well as to provide more inclusive programming throughout the week. These events can be either large or small (depending on the day/time scheduled), targeted or general, and are designed to provide an alternative and varied experience during Orientation Week, in addition to allowing groups across campus to publicize themselves to incoming students. Please fill out the form below for each potential event that your group would like to host (please fill out a separate form per event).
This year, we will be working with a more defined schedule and space allocation. We will also only be selecting events that are innovative, inclusive, and would be particularly beneficial to offer during this specific time frame. Events will be scheduled between August 28 and September 1.
There is also the new option this year of having information about and a link to your group/non-Orientation Week event on the Orientation Week website (in an "Orientation Week PLUS" section). Only "Orientation"-related groups and events (e.g., mentoring programs, tours, internship programs, etc.) will be included. To include your unit or event in this list, please fill out the form at http://bit.ly/OWeekPlus
