The Cascade Climate Network is looking for new leaders to fill our core team positions! We are seeking applicants of all experience levels, interests, and talents. The Cascade Climate Network endeavors to “build a sustainable, just, and prosperous future for all” by acting as a regional communication hub for youth in the Pacific Northwest. Our Core Team facilitates this process and offers an opportunity for youth to employ the skills they have gained through trainings and experience working in communities.
You don't need to have any previous experience with the CCN, only passion and a desire to learn!
Keep in mind that all positions are facilitator or director pairs so you'd have someone working with you
Co-Directors (one from WA and one from OR)
Oversees the Network as a whole to ensure that the CCN continues to move forward and adapt to best serve the communities of the Northwest while building leaders and growing the network. (Applicants for this position should have some previous experience with the CCN)
Recruitment and Retention Team Facilitator (two facilitators)
The glue that holds the network together and brings new activists into the community. The R&R team recruits new people and communities for gatherings and maintains connections with community contacts from each community involved in the CCN. Team Facilitators should ensure their team moves forward, encourage leadership development by delegating, and retain team members through check-ins every other week.
Communications Team Facilitator (two facilitators)
Ensures that CCN campuses have the knowledge and tools they need to run effective campaigns, institutional memory is maintained, the wider community understands the accomplishments of the CCN, and the network remains strong through transitions. Team Facilitators should ensure their team moves forward, encourage leadership development by delegating, and retain team members through check-ins every other week.
Events Team Facilitator (two facilitators)
Gatherings are crucial to the CCN because face to face communication is the core of any network and connecting people from different communities. This team also supports regional events and organizes fundraising efforts. Team Facilitators should ensure their team moves forward, encourage leadership development by delegating, and retain team members through check-ins every other week.
