All listed activities below will take place on Governors Island. Please read the information below carefully before signing up for an on island shift.
Signing Up As a Takedown Volunteer Requires 2 Simple Steps:

In order to be approved as a volunteer and have your name on the ferry access list, you will need to submit this sign up sheet AND submit the
http://goo.gl/sXHpP sheet AT LEAST 48 BUSINESS HOURS BEFORE your shift begins. The earlier you sign up, the more likely it is that you will be allowed to build on the island alongside the team, so sign up early!!! You will receive a confirmation email 2 days before your selected shift(s) indicating that you are confirmed as a volunteer. Before boarding the ferry, you will need to show a valid id that correlates with the name on the ferry access list.

Island Bound Meeting Instructions:
If meeting in the morning, we are to meet in Manhattan within The Battery Maritime Building to board the Governors Island bound ferry at 9 am sharp. If meeting in the afternoon, you will ride the ferry over to Governors Island, and then be directed to the site. Build and Assembly will generally end at 5pm so that we may catch the 5:30pm ferry to return to Manhattan.
On Island Volunteer Shifts Will Occur In 3 Forms:
(a) Full day shift 8am - 5pm
(b) Morning shift 8am - 12:30pm
(c) Afternoon shift 12:30pm - 5:00pm
What To Wear And Bring To The Island?
Wear:clothing that you wouldn't mind getting moderately dirty, work gloves
Bring:1 or 2 bottles of water, a sandwich/full meal. Fruits or/and cookies to share.
(Food is not sold on the island at the moment, and the water on the island is non-potable, so you will have to bring all of your own!)
Tools:tools, when needed, will be specified for the specific day.
About Confirmations: After you sign up, you will receive a confirmation email approximately --2 days-- before your shift begins. If you signed up, and forgot to record your days, no worries! Simply send an email to
