As a member of the residential advising staff, you are part of an eight person team. Each staff person brings a variety of talents and abilities to the team. (1) What is your own definition of what makes an effective and successful team? (2) What type of leadership skills do you feel you possess that would help contribute to the development of a successful team?
As a member of the residential tutorial staff, you will be responsible for organizing a number of academic activities which includes: setting up tutoring labs, silent study time, peer tutoring sessions and time management /study skills workshops etc. In all cases you will be teamed with one or more fellow staff members to complete these tasks. (1) Which role do you see yourself playing as a member of the tutorial staff when planning and organizing activities? (2) What are the academic needs of the student that you would consider during the planning stages?
