International students are required to enroll in a full course of study each fall and spring semester. A full course of study is 12 credit hours for undergraduate students and 9 credit hours for graduate students. Students are not required to study during the summer unless the summer semester is their first semester at A&M-Commerce. For new students beginning in the summer a full course of study is 6 credit hours.
Students must have the permission from the ISSO prior to enrolling in less than a full course of study or dropping below a full course of study during the semester. Failure to have permission will result in a visa status violation. Once you have submitted this form an international advisor at the ISSO will review and contact you if there are any questions or concerns.
Please note that the exception for your final semester does not allow you to take more online courses than face to face courses.
If you want to take less than required hours for a reason not listed below you will need to make an appointment to see an international student advisor at the ISSO.
