The Conduct Board is responsible for hearing cases of students charged for potentially violating the College of Brockport’s Code of Student Conduct. Each Conduct Board consists of at least three thoroughly trained members drawn from the pool of faculty, staff and students. Upon review of a case, the board makes a determination as to whether or not a policy violation has occurred and recommends sanctions to the Student Conduct Coordinator. Sanctions range from an Official Warning up to and including Dismissal from the College. This is a volunteer position with a time commitment of approximately 4-10 hours a month.
All faculty & staff are eligible to apply while eligible students must meet with following required qualifications:
-Be in good academic and disciplinary standing
-Have 30 college credit hours completed by the end of the Spring 2014 semester
-Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5 and a semester GPA of at least a 2.0
Time Commitment- Board members serve a minimum of one (1) year term and, in addition to the training requirements listed above, they are expected to arrange their schedule to be available to serve on a hearing board approximately once a month. Most hearings last between 1 ½ and 4 hours.
