Caucus Call-Out

Caucuses are facilitated discussions or meet-ups based on particular topics, questions or identities. For example, Racialized Participant caucus; Safe(r) Spaces: Accountability and addressing violence in our movements caucus; LGBTQ+ meet and greet; Climate Organizing in Rural Spaces. You can see a list, that is by no means exhaustive, of some of the caucus ideas that the PowerShift programming team came up with here: http://bit.ly/NCfuqC. Even if the caucus you would like to be a part of is already on this list please still fill out the form because we are using it to gage participant interest and find facilitators as well.

We want to hear from what what caucuses you want to see and participate in at PowerShift.

We are also looking for facilitators for the Caucuses so please indicate if this interests you and we will be in touch.

NOTE: If you apply to facilitate the caucus, by filling in this form you are committing to, if chosen (but hopefully if not as well!) be at PowerShift in Ottawa on the weekend of October 26-29.

Note: for the identity based ones, it would be explained thoroughly in the program so forlks know who the caucus is open to and can self-select appropriately. We do not want to have to police people's identities in these spaces.

Meet and greet, informal - Issue based, open (ie. Meet up for parents, kids, and their allies)
